The Neighborhood

I absolutely love this precious neighborhood! My house is perched in the hills of Morro Bay, with fantastic ocean and mountain views. As you drive up the hill you see homes with quaint boats such as the "Scampi" and "Castaway," and seaside decor of dolphins, whales, pelicans and starfish.

Up from my street, the drive gets very steep, and the houses very nice, and it makes for a great morning walk or run. Remarkable views every step!

Getting around

Walk to the beach from here, and some local restaurants including the super popular "Taco Temple" for the most amazing fish tacos ever! Or, drive to the Embarcadero for other restaurants. Lots of public transportation on Main St, just a few blocks down the hill.

Other Things to Note

Lots of art & antiques - and whimsy! : )

  • Our family had a wonderful stay at Linda's home. The house was comfortable, extremely well-located and well-equipped (particularly the kitchen) to handle our crew of 4 adults and 4 kids. We really enjoyed the view from the main floor as well as the side deck. Most of all, Linda's thoughtfulness and graciousness--in the weeks leading up to our stay as well as during and after--set just the right tone for our visit, which was a reunion among East and West Coast cousins. We really appreciated all of the information she shared with us about her home (she laid out in an organized way everything we needed to know!) and about fun activities in and around Morro Bay, as well as the yummy treats she left to greet us. In short, nothing but the highest marks for Linda and her home.

  • Linda has a beautiful, cosy home... pretty garden, interesting artifacts in the house, fully equipped kitchen and lots of warm furniture and lights in the house... it's a perfect place for a family get together, where you want to go out during the day and hang out in the evening, cook a nice dinner and chat...

we had a fabulous time... thank you linda...

  • We had a wonderful time in Morro Bay and we enjoyed our mini family vacation in Linda's home. It was roomy enough and close to town & attractions. Conveniently located & well appointed.

  • Linda has a lovely home in Morro Bay. It is at the top of the hill with a beautiful view of Morro Rock from the dining room and the ocean from the living room. The home was beautifully decorated and Linda has a wonderful collection of antiques. The beds and sofa sectional are very comfortable.
We rented the entire house and also enjoyed full use of the kitchen. It was a great location to take day trips to different beach towns in the area. We also brought our bikes and enjoyed biking to Morro Bay. A wonderful family vacation!

  • My family and I had a wonderful time at Linda's beautiful house in Morro Bay! We are 6 women aged 35-70 who get together 1x/year. Linda's home was perfect, with plenty of space for cooking and lounging, very clean and comfortable bedrooms, and it has a GREAT ocean view. We visited nearby Harmony and Cambria during our time and it was so fun. Linda was a great host. The place was spotless. I highly recommend this home!

  • The house is really nice, and at a great location. My family and I had a great time, and enjoyed Linda's hospitality. We loved the Rain showers! The view from the living room of Morro Rock is really great, and we loved having the windows open to the evening breeze. We will definitely stay there again.

  • My family and I stayed at Linda's for my daughters graduation. We had the entire house for the weekend and loved it. All the beds are very comfortable and the linens are the quality of 5 star hotels. At one time there were 10 of us and it felt like being at home, plenty of room and comfortable. My only regret was not meeting Linda as I'm sure I would love her based on my whole experience. I will recommend this home to my family and friends.

About
HI - my name is Linda and my two favorite places in the world are Morro Bay and South Lake Tahoe! I have a beach house in Morro Bay and a ski place in Tahoe that I offer on Airbnb. I am a SF/Bay Area transplant to the Central Coast, most recently from Emerald Hills, near Redwood City. I have a 19 yr old daughter in college. I'm a U.C. Berkeley grad who still has a lot of Berkeley in her. I love healthy eating and exercise. In Morro Bay I am completely mellowed out by the ocean view and beauty of the central coast from my livingroom window. : ) In Tahoe, the view is giant pine trees and snow covered mountains. Both are such stunning areas. In Morro Bay for hiking there is the stunning Montana de Oro bluffs, the waterfall at reservoir canyon, Mt. Madonna, Bishops Peak, the Harmony Headland trail to the ocean, and so many other coastal hikes.. In Tahoe, there are countless trails and smaller lakes such as Fallen Leaf Lake, and Burnside Lake. I do still love Zumba, Pilates and yoga, too. Love to have guests stay, and I stay out of your way, but am also here to chat with about the area if you want. Thanks! Linda
