Whether you are here for work or pleasure, you will be able to relax and enjoy staying in one of the newest lofts in one of San Francisco's highly desirable and most convenient neighborhoods!
Our 3rd floor loft has 2 floors, with 2 full bathrooms (one on each floor - 1 bathtub/1 shower), 1 full bedroom on the lower floor and a yoga/workout area and office space on the top floor. It was built in the last few years and is the epitome of urban chic. There are 16 ft windows covering the entire wall that look out to a partial view of downtown, industrial-style stairs connecting the floors and the unit itself has a ultra-modern open floor design with a large Booz butcher block kitchen island that makes cooking fun for any level of chef!
The unit comes fully furnished with every stainless steel appliance you could need, but rarely get in older SF neighborhoods. This loft has a Flat screen TV, ample living room seating (with an extra large slate-colored sectional couch), your own high efficiency washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, gas fireplace, wireless internet and a desk upstairs looking out to downtown for working while here or just staying organized during your stay.
You will be less than 6 blocks from the famous Union Square (SF's downtown shopping mecca), 4 blocks from the San Francisco Giants AT&T Ball park/Movie Theaters/SFMOMA/City Target, 2 blocks from Whole Foods/Safeway/Walgreens, 1 block from Starbucks/Wells Fargo/Cal train/MUNI Bus Depot and have the easiest access in the city to highways heading out of town South to Silicon Valley or East over the Bay Bridge. You are also a mile from San Francisco's historic Ferry Building, which is the place to be any day of the week, but especially when the Farmer's markets are out on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. If you like to run, bike or walk, you can head 3 blocks south and you will hit the Embarcadero, which is a path that runs along the water from just before the ballpark to the Ferry Building and onto Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina and even the Golden Gate Bridge for the serious runners or bikers.
You will be steps from a multitude of urban coffee shops and restaurants where the local start-up entrepreneurs set up shop and employees at nearby Pinterest, (website hidden), Foursquare, Yelp and even AirBnb (yes their world head quarters are also in SOMA) stop in to grab a bite. This neighborhood is home to much of Silicon Valley's top talent who pick SOMA as their home for easy access to (website hidden), (website hidden) and Apple in the South Bay.
There is no parking in the building, but dozens of metered parking right out front that are fairly cheap ($0.50 to $1.50/hr depending on time of day) and free overnight. If you don't want to worry about meters, there is a lot across the street that is only $10 per night (vs. $40-60/night for hotels in our neighborhood).
Generally speaking, check out time is noon and check in time is 4pm, unless there are no guests coming before/after and there is flexibility to move it (which we are happy to do if that is the case!).
We cannot wait to host fellow travellers and start making more Air BnB connections around the world!

Merrin and Andy's loft was the perfect place to stay during our San Francisco travels. The space itself was very accommodating and relaxing--we looked forward to coming back to it after long days of exploring the city.
The location was great and getting around was super easy. Merrin and Andy made every aspect simple yet thorough enough for there to be zero confusion when checking in or out.
I had a good number of questions regarding neighborhoods, places to stay and San Francisco in general. They provided some great insight and really helpful tips for us before and during our trip. I'd highly recommend them and their space!
The stay was wonderful and the loft was very clean and well kept. Awesome location with great hosts. Very convenient check in. Andy was very helpful with the Airbnb process as well as getting around the city. Thanks guys!
First timer here on AirBnB but I had heard great things and we couldn't have had a better stay. We had a great time at Andy and Merrins place in San Francisco over the Valentines Day Weekend. It was such a nice apartment/condo whatever you wanna call it, and I had picked it because the pictures that they have posted just made it look so nice and in fact it turned out to be. We live in the East Bay just about 45 minutes from SF so it's not like we haven't been to the city before, but to try this site and stay at someone else's place was a great experience.
It was easy to book and easy to get connected with Andy. I met him and Merrin a few nights before our stay and he gave me the tour and the keys as well and I felt really comfortable when he gave me his cell phone number incase there were any questions. They also provided us with step by step directions for everything we needed to know inside of their apartment such as how to work the TV, how to work the coffee machine and what local restaurants to try. This place is in a perfect location really close to restaurants and bars and also AT&T Park where my girlfriend and I walked to for our tour of the park. We cooked dinner on friday night and Andy and Merrin had everything we could have asked for as far as cookware and utensils, all we needed were the groceries. We brought our own laptop where we were able to hook up our computer to watch movies on Netflix on their big screen TV and the couch was very comfortable as well. These two provided us with everything we could ever need for this amazing weekend stay and we will definitely be coming back here next time.
Parking was the only confusing thing because at first, we didn't know if we were able to park on the street or in the lot next to the building but once we circled around a few times and realized that we could park on the street right out in front of the building for only about $4 a day compared to $20 we we're able to relax.
Two young and successful people (from the awards we could see on their wall) that have a lot going for them! Thanks again guys!
Merrin's apartment studio is well located in SOMA and minutes away / walking distance from the heart of Union Square and downtown San Francisco. We had a wonderful time in the city and it was all thanks to Merrin as a gracious and excellent host. Merrin was really communicative and easy to work with in terms of the logistics and also provided great tips on things to do and places to try in the local area. The apartment was amazing. Stunning high ceilings provided the feeling of a large spacious open environment. I would definitely recommend Merrin and this apartment for all travelers to San Francisco. Great hosts and beautiful place/location.
What a place! You cant go wrong with this luxury loft which is located close to public transportation and easy access to all of the must-see spots of SF. The loft is spacious, clean, and the large window provides a nice view with a ton of sunlight. Parking is pretty easy, just pay the meters outside (price changes based on day / time of day) but much less than the garages and private lots. Most importantly you cant beat the price. If you were to rent this room in a hotel you would pay well over $700 a night. We cant wait to be back.
We had a wonderful weekend at Merrin and Andy's loft. Their place is beautiful, clean, spacious, very nicely decorated and perfectly located in a great neighborhood in San Francisco. Merrin and Andy were very accommodating and responsive as we planned for our trip, and they made it feel like we were staying at a close friend's apartment (including encouraging us to eat/drink anything in the fridge!). My girlfriend and I kept on saying that we would love to live in a place like theirs, and it will be the first place we look to stay on our next trip to San Francisco.
Merrin and Andy were very helpful and responsive, and even took the initiative to arrange the keys to be delivered to us in advance to minimize the hassle of check-in. Very thoughtful and considerate of them! It's a stylish and comfortable loft and our 8mth old daughter really loved the brightness and spaciousness. Overnight Parking was a little inconvenient but otherwise was a perfect place to stay in the nice city. Highly recommended!!
Wow - this place was perfect! Merrin and Andy were easy to communicate with and the loft was everything we'd hoped it would be. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed San Francisco and were able to conveniently walk everywhere from the loft. The loft itself was very spacious, extremely clean and felt luxurious for the price point. The living room especially was a great place to relax with a drink and the couch was huge and so so comfortable! Highly recommended!
I had a great stay at Merrin and Andy's loft! The space is very clean and spacious. The photos of the loft are accurate and it was exactly as described.
Working with Merrin was easy and the location is convenient and centrally located. Merrin and Andy even left me some pre-race food for my half marathon which was much appreciated.
I would definitely recommend staying with Merrin & Andy.
Wow! Talk about lucking out. Merrin and Andy's place is AMAZING and they were so fantastic to work with. They were so nice and reliable and I felt very comfortable and safe at their place. I travel a lot for work, this will be my go to place in SF now for business and pleasure.
The loft is huge, super high ceilings and windows, very urban chic/cool while still very luxurious and comfortable. Exactly what you want from an SF loft and major bang for your buck. You couldn't even come close to this space in a hotel room, and this is significantly more fun and affordable. They have a gorgeous kitchen with everything you could possibly need, perfect for cooking or just starting/ending the night with a drink.
The location is great. Walking distance to the ballpark, Embarcadero, water, muni, bart, and lots of restaurants, bars and grocery stores etc. Super close to downtown. The Creamery is a great little local coffee shop/cafe to hang at or get some work done (great wireless as does Merrin/Andy's place). Very easy to get from the airport to here, the CalTrain station is a short walk. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back soon.
