Kelli's place is so cute and super comfortable! The perfect location to ramble around the Bywater to bars, shops and cafes. Bacchanal is amazing – wine, food and jazz in a sprawling outdoor garden – and just a few blocks away! For four people, the place is ideal.
Kelli's home was very clean and spacious, a comfortable walk from the French quarter with plenty of great food places and interesting stops along the way. Kelli gave us a heads-up to local events while we were visiting, we had a great time at the Krewe du Vieux parade. This was my first airbnb experience and I feel it's a great way to travel and stay.
Kelli's place is awesome!!! Off the beaten path is a really chill but interesting neighborhood. Overall I felt really at home staying there and the people in the area were very friendly. Although I never got to meet Kelli she was in contact and willing to help had I needed it during my stay. I was really happy with the amount of privacy and cleanliness of the property and would definitely recommend this to folks who don't have to stay in the middle of all the action. Thanks again Kelli :D
Kelli's Bywater apartment was amazing-- so cute and spacious and she was super responsive just in case anything came up during our stay. I would absolutely stay at Kelli's place again. It was a delight to spend the weekend in my favorite neighborhood in New Orleans.
Had a great stay at Kelli's place!! The apartment was clean and spacious with plenty of room to accommodate the family. The apartment had everything you could possibly need from clean linens, towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. Kelli even had an extra blowup mattress set up for us when we arrived. We loved the neighborhood, it's within walking distance to lots of cool local bars and great places to eat (The Joint is a local restaurant serving some of the best BBQ I've ever had!). The French Quarter and some of the more touristy places are not far and can be reached easily on bike or local transportation. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! Kelli's place felt like a home away from home. :)
Great, cute apartment. High pitched ceilings gives an open feel to the apartment, there's plenty of space, and lots of great light in all the rooms. Really unique interior decorating, with local art and cool antiques.
It's in an up-and-coming neighborhood, which can be worrisome if you're coming from White Bread, America, but it's also only two blocks from a police station, and everyone we ran into on the street was super nice. Just be smart, yeah?
Hi Jake, thanks for your thoughtful reply. The Bywater has received some great press lately and is past the up and coming stage for sure...at an average of $200.00 a square foot for the neighborhood it has become a mecca of hip and coolness in NOLA...think Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Esquire magazine just named the neighborhood restaurant Mariza one of the top 10 new restaurants in the U.S. Check out a recent article from Southern Living on the Bywater/Marigny neighborhood called the New, New Orleans. Thanks again for booking!
Kelli's apartment is in a great location in The Bywater, close to the best local bars, restaurants and clubs. We had a great stay here. With rented cycles, the other wards in the city were easily reachable. The place was clean and had everything we wanted, even a vinyl record player. Kelli was really helpful throughout the booking and I would highly recommend this apartment.
I really enjoyed staying at Kelli's pad. It is a spacious 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. She had the place so clean and with all the things you would need (clean linens, clean towels, dishes, glasses etc). Her place is also a quick drive or bike ride to the French Quarter. It was nice to be so close to everything but come back to a quiet place to rest. I would definitely stay here again!
Kelli's apartment was a great place to experience the 'real' New Orleans.
While the apartment (and New Orleans) did get hot, the airconditioning certainly cooled the place to a comfortable temperature. There was an issue with a tap in the bathroom, but Kelli did warn us of this problem before we arrived. It turned out to be only a minor inconvenience.
The apartment was located a couple of miles from the Marigny, which is where it all seems to be happening. A short distance from the apartment was Satsuma's, a great place for breakfast. It was also close to the fantastic Joint barbeque restaurant.
Ideally you would want a car if staying in this location (we had one), or be prepared for some sweaty walks.
We felt safe in this area and grew to quite like it for its artistic and 'edgy' feel.
We would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a real neighbourhood, away from the craziness of Bourbon St.
This is a fantastic rental! its close to so many great restaurant, and its a cheap cab ride to the Quarter. We never felt unsafe, and loved the community atmosphere. Everything was clean and convenient! Cant wait to come back!
