The Space

Share our lovely home in your own private "wing," including a private bedroom with it's own private bathroom and your own balcony.

I live with my partner in a spacious apartment located just a couple of miles south of West Hollywood and the Grove, the Beverly Center, and very close to downtown, Culver City and Beverly Hills. Right down the street is the Expo Metro light rail station that connects you to Downtown LA, Pasadena, Hollywood, Long Beach, North Hollywood and elsewhere very quickly. Also very close to the 10 freeway so both the beach (Santa Monica/Venice) and downtown LA are a quick drive from the apartment. Bus lines have worked out really well for other guests, and you can find routes on (website hidden).

There is ample free street parking on our block, a Starbucks, Walgreens, and various small businesses within walking distance. Really, lots that LA has to offer right at your fingertips.

Your room has hardwood floors, an incredibly comfortable full sized bed, walk in closet, desk and chair. You also have a large sliding glass door that leads to a balcony. You have your own full bathroom next to your bedroom. We provide clean towels and toilet paper in the bathroom.

Wireless internet is included as well as access to our kitchen/dining area. You will have space in the refrigerator, as well as a cabinet to yourself for food storage. Dishes and cutlery are all shared. Down the hall is a coin operated washer and dryer; you also have your own drying rack on the balcony.

My partner and I are in the master bedroom on the other side of the apartment with our own bathroom, so you will have ample privacy.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Chris' place! This stop in Los Angeles was perfect, she is really nice and helpful! We also appreciate the quiet room with his independent bathroom. Chris is also close from everywhere, you can easily go to Hollywood, beverly Hills and LA. We recommend it for sure!

  • I stayed here for a month and a half (also my first Air bnb experience), and it exceeded my expectations! Super clean, huge room, lots of privacy, and all the bedding, etc was brand new. It's close to almost everything, and the neighborhood felt very safe. Also - a TON of closet space. Chris and Elizabeth are lovely- very welcoming and helpful! Even fed me breakfast on one of my first days there! Oh, and the cats are great - I'm going to miss Algy...
Really can't recommend it highly enough.

  • Chris and Elizabeth´have a great place in a safe and friendly neighbourhood. They were both very accomodating and were happy for us to bustle in and out of the apartment whenever we pleased - exactly what we were looking for! The apartment itself is fantastic. Very funky fitout and we had a very spacious bedroom with our own bathroom attached which was very much appreciated. Extremely clean and tidy, would definitely recommend.

  • I had to find a place last minute and Chris was so accommodating. Nice clean room, I had an easy quick stay and it was so close to work!

  • Chris and Elizabeth (and the cats) were great hosts. We got there a bit late (damn LA traffic!) but they were flexible for us. We had a car and the house was easy enough to find. Had to park around the corner a few times but it's no big deal, just a very short stroll. We were hardly at home because we had a tight schedule to try and see LA in a few days, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thanks a lot!

  • This was our 3rd stay with Chris and as with the first two, it was wonderful. The location is great for getting around the LA basin. Close to public transportation which can take you easily from Santa Monica Beach/pier to downtown LA. This was our 1st trip with a car and getting to her place from anywhere is pretty easy, dependent on LA traffic. There are some pretty good restaurants nearby including Komodos ( 4 blocks).
As for Chris and her partner, Elizabeth, they are warm, welcoming, accommodating, clean and give you as much space as you want, while being there for you and to help. Use of the kitchen is easy and they make space for your food. The guest room is bright and sunny and spacious. This is one of our favorite airbnbs.

  • I had a pleasant two-night stay at Chris's place. The private bedroom was fairly large and clean, and the bed was comfortable. There's a desk and decent-sized walk-in closet in the room. It was nice to have a bathroom, which is located just outside the bedroom, to myself. I really only saw and spoke with Chris and her partner upon arrival because I was out and about most of the time, but they were both welcoming and friendly. It was nice to have keys to the apartment to be able to come and go as needed. The apartment is about a 15-20 minute drive (depending on traffic) to UCLA, Santa Monica beach, Koreatown, USC, etc...

  • We were excited to try AirBnB for the first time. We found Chris's lovely place for a very reasonable price. Upon arriving we found the apartment to be very homely and the room is large and accommodating. After a week into our stay there had been a number of people visiting the apartment including a "book club" once a month. This was fine only it was incredibly loud and lasted well into the night. Other people visited and left the place late at night including Chris and her partner Elizabeth who were very loud which was surprising. On a few occasions Chris and Elizabeth had massive arguments leaving one of them crying which was disturbing, sometimes also late at night. We felt a great disconnection from them at this point and it became very awkward. We often felt we were not welcome and a hinderance as our stay was lengthy at 2 months. Elizabeth would never speak to us and would leave them room abruptly when we entered. She yelled at us once after we were making tea and the kettle was boiling. Both their cats were super cute and very friendly, unfortunately the kitty litter was situated outside our room door and smelt incredibly bad, sometimes this lasted days. The cats also left their business on the floor outside our door and on the bathroom mat. Towards the end of our stay Chris and Elizabeth left and had a few people house sit, who were lovely people. Again, it was a shock when a neighbour entered the apartment at 7:00am to feed the cats and proceeded to speak very loudly to the cats. We asked her if it would be okay to keep it down a little, whereas she took great offence and decided to throw abuse at us stating we had no right to tell her what to do. We don't normally feel the need to write any kind of review like this, though the nasty messages we received after our stay prompted us to provide some honest feedback. Chris and Elizabeth have a great place, though we cannot recommend to anyone to stay here longer than a week.

  • I had a great stay with Chris, Elizabeth & their two cats. Algy is especially friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

  • comfy bed, laid back girls. we arrived kinda late and Chris accommodated us. friendly kitty. room was clean - awesome book about good places to walk around LA. only complaint is there was some noise (not sure if garage door going up, or elevator?) that was pretty loud and happened about once or twice every hour. if you're sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs. parking's kinda a bitch too - but you'll find that anywhere in west LA.
