Nice apartment in the lovely town of Camogli. It had everything we needed and only a ten minute walk to the centre of the town albeit a lot of steps! As with other reviews the apartment is basic but has everything you need, not modern but everything worked as you would expect. The massive bonus is that it has parking which you will soon realise is very difficult to find in the rest of the town.

Lazzaros little apartment is a great place to be in Camogli. We had a really good time. Lazzaro could not be there, but his grandma is just living in the same house and welcomed us very friendly and gave us the keys. Lazzaro was always answering my questions I sent him via the Airbnb-App. The apartment is a typical private holiday residence of a family. It is equipped with everything, really everything, from kitchen to the bathroom, like towels and bed linen, hiking maps and tourist information. The furniture is a bit old as well as the beds, but the overall impression was quite good. It's not luxury, but honest. The best for me was the garden. We sat outside every evening, when our two little girls were sleeping, drinking a good wine and enjoying the view (and the fireworks). Here's a short list of all the positive and the few negative points: + Garden (we and our kids loved it) + Great View + Very well equipped with everything (incl. bed linen and towels) + Private Parking (you'll see why this is a privilege in Camogli) + Bus stop just nearby (Take the Bus 73 to Ruta / St. Margarita) + Close to the beach (~350 steps down the stairs) - Lots of mosquitoes after 6pm (take stuff against with you, there's also some repellent in the house) - Furniture (also beds) a bit worn and old (less would be more) - Do not forget the key inside when closing the door from outside! - After walking down to the beach, you'll have to return at some point (walk up ~350 stairs). But there are taxis or a bus too.. Camogli is also a great place. The ocean and beach was fantastic (beginning of September), but you can also hike around the Portofino region or just take the train to Genua or south. Overall we had a great stay! Thanks again!

Hi Lazzaro, we had a great time in your lovely appartment and garden; thanks for the good communication, it made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the wonderfull view, the sound of the crickets, the 354 steps-stairs down to Camogli (and 354 steps up again) - every day despite the very warm weather, it kept us in shape ;-), the wonderfull walk to San Rocco, the boat trip to Punta Chiappa and San Fruttuoso, we even found a beach where our dog was welcome as well (Bau Bau beach in St Margherite Ligure) and finally the Festa della Stella Maris on our last day! Thanks a lot! Joachim, Ilse, Maja and Skip

On the positive side, the apartment was a good size, close to the beach and had private parking. We were welcomed in a very friendly way. On the negative side, the apartment was not as clean as it should have been. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable (they were simply foam bases). The shower was difficult to use and it was not possible to use the bath because the plug had become detached from the chain. We booked for 13 nights, but were told that we needed to pay for 14 nights, even though the apartment was advertised on a per night basis. There were a number of helpful features which could have been (but were not) provided, for example a fan of some sort (it was tremendously hot and we were bitten incessantly by insects) and a second key (it was very inconvenient to have only one set of keys). We found it difficult to deal with the issues set out above and we left four days early for alternative (and cheaper) accommodation. We didn't complain while we were there as we didn't feel that anything could be done about the problems (e.g. it would probably have been very difficult to change the beds) and the host left for Genoa the day after our arrival. His elderly grandparents were living in the house above and we did not want to trouble them. Disappointingly, we have not received any response to our complaint.

Lazzaro was a great host, good communication. Very nice apartment, well equipped, great location. Just walk 10 mins to the center and beach of Camogli, or take the bus which runs 2-3 times an hour. We want to come back!

Nice location away from noisy places, beautiful views. Clean, light house. Sympathetic owners. Camogli - the pearl of eastern Liguria! This is a good choice for a relaxing but not boring vacation on the coast.

Lazzaro's place is really nice. Location is perfect if you want to visit the cinque terra or have a relaxing holiday. Camogli is a nice small village. The apartment is well furnished and adequately equipped. Private parking is surely a treat.
