Ended up canceling
Home/cabin is just as described and pictured including the friendly cat! We love the beautiful setting and being so close to Maroon Bells, as that was our reason to stay! Al is a lovely host. We felt welcome and comfortable and she was helpful with suggestions for our day outing and restaurants. We may need to come back next year!
Really enjoyed getting to stay with Al. We loved being so close to the Maroon Bells trailheads and having easy access to town. Don't miss hanging out on the deck / lawn to watch the ducks!
We had a wonderful time in Aspen. Al's place is surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers! The views were incredible! Her home is warm, clean and inviting! It was perfect for our needs.
We had a great 3 nights in Aspen. Al's place is not a far drive outside of town and it is tucked away in a little ranch on a pond. We were pleased that we choose to stay there instead of in town. The place was quiet, clean and peaceful surroundings! Al was friendly and we would stay there again!
Spent the weekend in Aspen for the JAS Music Festival. Al's place was perfect for our needs. Room was comfortable and cozy. Enjoyed opening the window at night and listening to the waterfall.
We had an absolutely wonderful time here. Al is a great host. Although we've been in Aspen before, she had great local recommendations. The location was perfectly out of the city but not far at all from downtown Aspen. Her cat is delightfully entertaining and very friendly. We slept very well in the bed and enjoyed waking-up to the faint sounds of a nearby waterfall and ducks quacking in the nearby pond. We recommend her to fellow fun-seekers and will definitely stay here next time we're in town.
This place was the perfect serene escape. It's a really short drive to the Maroon Bells and just a little further of a drive into downtown Aspen. There is a cute little pond with a waterfall right outside your bedroom window so you can fall asleep to the peaceful sound of running water. This converted barn is beautifully updated. Allison was a terrific host and very friendly. She had great suggestions for where to go, what to see and how to get there. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait for a return visit.
Great place to stay the description couldn't be more accurate on the website , Al is great Host ! can't wait to come back in the winter season!
Being on the way up the road to the Maroon Bells is an ideal location in Aspen - you can zip up there early in the morning, before the mandatory bus shuttles begin, or late in the day if you have a car. If you are biking you are already on your way. This is a lovely spot, with a pond and the sound of running water right out the window of your room. The cabin is part of a former guest ranch.. What remains of the ranch operation is horseback riding you could arrange right there in the summer and snowmobiling, if you are so inclined, in the winter. You would also be able to cross country ski right from her door during a snowy winter.
The drive into town is a pleasant 10 - 15 minutes. Alison is a kind and helpful host and we enjoyed our stay very much.
A couple of points - remember that she has a cat if you are allergic and know that the room is small - cozy, clean, comfortable and small, with a nice view!
