This quirky and rustic Victorian conversion is situated just off the famous Kings Road in Chelsea, above the showroom of Katherine Hooker London, a bespoke clothing designer. With the River Thames and its fantastic bridges a 2-minute walk away, the shops along the Kings Road, and the Natural History and Science museums close at hand, this is a great location for your stay in London.
Katherine Hooker London occupies the ground floor, basement and first floor of this building. Available to rent, with it's own private entrance, is a double bedroom and private bathroom on the second floor. It's an unusual set up since you access the flat through the showroom/offices, and will suit someone looking for a lovely space to relax/work/sleep in, with use of a shared kitchen. There is a roof terrace at the top of the property where you can relax on spring/summer evenings. All the ladies working for Katherine Hooker are super easy going, friendly and welcoming, and there is very much a family atmosphere here.
Free WIFI is available. Close to local amenities such as express supermarkets, dry cleaners, good English pubs, a lovely delicatessen and many many shops! You'll find fresh linen and towels on arrival. The Katherine Hooker girls are on hand to help you with anything you need.
Local transport: Imperial Wharf on the Overground line, 5 minutes to Kensington Olympia, Clapham Junction and Westfield London (huge shopping centre). Local buses up the Kings Road and on into Victoria, Knightsbridge, Piccadilly and other areas of Central London. Earls Court station (Piccadilly line) is a brisk 15 minute walk.
I can't recommend this place enough - I lived in the apartment for over 3 years and have only moved on as Katherine's business expanded into the first floor (our living area) and with a baby we needed more space!
The apartment has it's own private entrance so guests can come and go as they please outside of office hours.

This apartment is exactly as advertised and in the reviews! We had an amazing trip! Great location not far from kings road! We had the choice of two bedrooms, their was no living room but we used second bedroom to watch a movie in Netflix! So acted as one! The roof garden felt very urban was fun! Even though it's a shared kitchen we didn't see anyone as we stayed in a Sunday. Roger was very easy to contact and I enjoyed meeting Katherine a very talented and personable lady!
Very nice apartment in a great location and Roger was extremely kind and helpful; I'll certainly be back!
This was an absolutely perfect flat for our stay in London. We could not recommend staying here enough!
Location: near a lovely park, several delicious restaurants, and within walking distance of Fulham Broadway tube station. The tube station has a great grocery store, drugstore, coffee shop, etc, and provides easy access to all of London.
The flat: absolutely charming. The flat is 3 stories tall. The bottom floor is the high-end boutique and an office. The second floor is the kitchen (nice and spacious with everything you could need) and more offices that the boutique staff use. The top floor has the two bedrooms and a private bathroom. The boutique staff are friendly and helpful if you have questions, but otherwise out of your way at all times. After long days of sight-seeing, we really appreciated having several different areas to relax in.
You might think this is too good to be true...but it really is that perfect! We definitely would stay here again if we had the chance to visit a second time.
The reservation was canceled 30 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We`ve had an awesome stay at Katherine`s place, she is a very friendly and advertend person. The apartment absolutely matched the pictures and description from airbnb. There's also a charming rooftop terrasse with a unique view over chelsea. Great stay, and we'd love to return some time!
A big thank you to Katherine, Roger & the rest of the team at Katherine Hooker for your hospitality during our stay in London.
Exactly as described on Air BnB, this apartment was the perfect place for us to base ourselves during our short stay in London. The rooms were lovely & spacious which was necessary as there was three of us, midway through 3 weeks travel around Europe (we had a lot of stuff with us!) and the linen and towels were all of a very high standard.
We felt close enough to all the different transport options (buses, tube, overland, etc), however we quite enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere & the warmth by walking to South Kensington tube station each day (about 20 mins).
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking at staying in Chelsa. Thank you again for making us feel so welcome!
We spent some days at Katherine's in April.
The place is so close to several buses lines that it is very easy to move around.
The flat is nice and very cozy ; the two bedrooms are large with bathroom and a shared full equipment kitchen. We noticed that the bedroom are a bit noisy because the windows doesn't fully close; this might be a problem during cold or raining days.
Katherine is a really nice host, thank you so much for welcom us .
Quirky flat Chelsea for 1, 2 or 3!
I just stayed at Katherine's place in April. The place is really near many buses lines and it is very convenient to go Central London. We noticed the area was a bit noisy because of plane traffic and because the windows don't fully close.
The pictures do a good job representing the space, though the flat does not fully look as newly painted or fresh as in the pictures, but it still fairly cozy - rooms are large, with access to a bathroom and a shared kitchen. Note that there is no locks to the rooms. The terrace was not open yet as the weather was still fairly cold. Thank you for sharing a convenient location with us.
