  • David was such a responsive and accommodating host. This was my second stay at David's place. By boyfriend and I have come up twice for two separate snowboarding trips and both times the process was easy, his place was very clean and cozy and was perfect for the weekend away. David went out of his way to help us out and we will definitely be returning again in the future.

  • Perfect place for a weekend in Tahoe. David's place is really close to several resorts and to downtown. It's also very close to the highway that makes it very convenient if you are coming from San Francisco.

  • David's Tahoe studio was perfect for a mountain getaway! His place is very clean, well equipped and David responded quickly go my questions. Thank you David for sharing your space!

  • We had a wonderful time staying at David's place. When we arrived, the space was spotless and we really liked the lighting. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of kitchen space to prepare breakfast and sandwiches for our long afternoons out on the trails. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower head had great pressure.

Though we didn't meet David, our conversations were pleasant and he was kind enough to check-in on us (via phone call) and make sure we were all settled in.

We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Tahoe. I would highly recommend staying at David's place!

  • Very cozy studio! Packed of supplies. Very clean and new. The complex is not that new at all but seems well maintained. Our iPhones and iPads couldn't pick up wifi on the room, but in the common area of the complex the wifi works relatively well. David was very attentive to make sure we did great, even calling us mid weekend to make sure we were having a good time! Definitely recommended

  • At base of Tahoe Donner, ample parking during summer/fall season
    Pros:
Nice, adequate, quiet cabin (not near busy road)
Coffee maker that has mesh filter so doesn't require paper filters
    Friendly and flexible host
    Nice color schemes and flooring
Much nicer than a hotel room
Nice glass lobby chair area with free wifi, but wifi didn't work in the room, ATT and Verizon cell/data signal works fine in room

    Cons:
    Beware of unannounced realtor showings
Unit is for sale, affiliated realtor came by, unannounced and keyed themselves in. after the ms got of shower, w/o knocking, Realtor "said" that were in contact w main realtor
There should be a min level of communication between the seller's realtor, to any other realtors, the owner and any potential short term guests like you or me. David needs to crack the whip on his realtor. We don't think he's directly responsible, but he is obligated to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen, Even a relayed email w approx time, would have been better than no notice
    - Shower door gasket leaks a bit even when closed

  • The studio is modest, but very comfortable. David was helpful and checked in to make sure we had gotten in all right. Overall, affordable and just what we were looking for.

  • I enjoyed my time up there in Tahoe Donner, the place is simple, great place at a reasonable price for a launching pad for Tahoe-style adventures. Communication and expectations were well received.

  • Thanks for a very good visit to this great little studio. All very much as described. David was meticulous in his description, prompt in his responses, accommodating in dealing with some extra requests we had (like late checkout).
The unit was just about big enough for 2 adults + 2 little kids -- given that we were out and about most of the time. It served our purpose well and was great value and ideal location. Just what we needed. Nicely appointed with modern furnishings and equipment. We were forewarned about the shower draining slowly, so we simply ran it at half-pressure. No biggie. Toaster-microwave was fine for what we needed (pull the knob on the right to pull down the toaster - took a few mins to figure that out!). Check-out was easy and no excessive cleaning fees - unlike some rental places.
Location is great - at base of a small ski resort, and a few mins out of Truckee.
David's instructions were clear and he called the day before to make sure we knew all the details, and responded very quickly and completely to texts with other questions. I'd recommend and would stay here again. A good intro to AirBNB.

  • and comfortable, just a short drive from downtown Truckee. We found everything we needed for a great stay -- comfy futon beds and tempurpedic pillows, a small but well-stocked kitchen, and a hot shower. We were surrounded by the Sierras, very quiet since it was off-season for skiers. Loved it!
