Fortunately, I consistently obtain 5-star reviews in all my 13 properties, therefore, I take this review for what it is a futile effort to throw mud because I have asked for reimbursement of damages. I have been a host since 2007 and along the way, once in a while, accidents happen or a party is held, but never before have I found a property in such a state, it looked like vandals went through it, the stench was unbearable. If I had not been working with the same housekeeping company and carpet company for a long time, I would have been in even bigger problems to put the apartment back into habitable condition, we had to paint the whole apartment in 36 hours, the complex lent me two giant fans to dispel paint fumes, my carpet company came to the rescue on a Sunday, we run to replace some furniture, lamps, bed sheets and many other items. Never before had I written a negative review about any of my guests and the damages I have suffered up to now have been unintentional but on this occasion my property have been in the hands of persons who have absolutely no respect nor decency. This time I felt I owed it to other fellow owners to let them know what they can expect.
As a foot note I would like to add that check in is by lockbox, a detailed welcome email containing instructions is sent in timely manner This traveller is a Realtor, he is supposed to be very familiar with loc kboxes and how they are opened. He rented for a family member and then forgot to provide them with the proper access information.
