Neighborhood highlights
A tour of Rome cannot ignore an exploration of the central Monti district, the first in Rome and one of the most picturesque and ancient in the city.
Despite the 19th-century urban development and the urban changes of the Fascist era, the Monti district has only partially lost its original layout. A maze of cobblestone alleys welcomes, in addition to numerous restaurants, also historic buildings, vintage shops and artisan shops. From different corners of the district, you can admire romantic and particularly evocative views that immerse the visitor in a nostalgic retro atmosphere. The Monti district is a place to live but also to admire: important archaeological vestiges and treasures of sacred architecture are preserved here.
Perhaps those who walk through the narrow streets of Rome's Monti district today do not know that those streets tell a story of over two thousand years.
Among the most important and representative monuments of the neighborhood are certainly the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the mother of all the churches of Rome and the world, and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the four papal basilicas of the Eternal City and the only one to have maintained the primitive early Christian structure. The area is particularly known for the archaeological area of the Imperial Forums, a unique architectural complex in the world that includes a series of monumental buildings and squares, the center of the life of ancient Rome.
The heart of the Monti district is represented by the square of the Madonna dei Monti, which has also become a meeting point for young people. Among the most popular areas of the area are Via Nazionale (for shopping) and Via Cavour, which, with their particular homes and artisan shops, seem to retain the peculiarities of the nineteenth-century capital.
The neighborhood is also famous for being a place of good food. In fact, Via del Boschetto is known as the street with the largest number of restaurants in all of Rome.
In the immediate vicinity, you will find all kinds of shops: supermarket, bars, restaurants, pubs, pharmacy, newsstand, ice cream shop, banks, post offices, craft shops, luggage storage...
100 meters from the apartment you will find a guarded garage for a fee.

Where I went to school: Roma
We are a small team of people who have opened their homes to hospitality with the desire to offer a unique experience in an unforgettable city like Rome.
We only manage two apartments because we believe that true hospitality is about small numbers and dedicated attention that large hotel chains can never offer. We love Rome, the design, and the beauty, and with love and dedication, we have created unique spaces to offer you homes away from home.
