Frinton-on-sea is one of the last unspoilt British seaside resorts. Located on the Essex Sunshine Coast, Frinton has a famous, gently shelving sandy beach, lined with traditional wooden beach huts and noted for its cleanliness and gentility.
Visitors to Frinton experience a peace and perfection not normally associated with many British seaside resorts. Here you will NOT find noisy arcades or tacky stalls; rather, Frinton retains a refined atmosphere and has a history of superb provision for outdoor pursuits. There are pleasant trails and beautiful gardens for walking; splendid opportunities for sailing, sea fishing, cycling, cricket and golf; and the Frinton Lawn Tennis club, one of the oldest in Essex.
During the busy holiday season, there is a programme of summer productions at the nationally renowned Frinton Summer Theatre, with both matinees and evening shows. Shopping amenities on Connaught Avenue, the high street, are convenient, with excellent restaurants, quality grocers, butcher and fishmonger, and an eclectic mix of national and local retailers.
Frinton is predominantly comprised of gracious Victorian houses from when the then small seaside village was developed as a resort in the 1860's. These lovely houses are built along broad, tree lined avenues leading towards a sweeping expanse of grass known as The Greensward, below which the fine sandy beach runs for the length of the town.
Frinton-on-Sea is a wonderful all year round resort, oriented around relaxed family fun at the seaside. It is also ideal for exploring the superb Essex coastline, the ancient harbour at Harwich and the estuaries of the rivers Stour and Colne. The beach has been awarded the Quality Coast Award 2008 and is recommended in The Marine Conservation Good Beach Guide 2009. The nearest large town is Colchester.
The house is less than half a mile to Frinton train station, for trains to London and Ipswich. London Liverpool Street to Frinton-on-Sea with one change at Thorpe-le-Soken takes about 1hr 45 mins.
By road from London:
Follow the A12 for 60 miles north east from London. Turn off just beyond Colchester (A12/Junc29) onto the A120 (for Colchester/Harwich), after about 5 miles turn off onto A133 (Clacton/Weeley), follow the signs to Weeley, then take the B1033 to Frinton.

This is a BYOS (bring your own sheets!) listing. Please bring your own bedsheets and towels.
I want you to have a relaxing time here! I'd prefer to not have rules, but I need to make them clear, so everything runs smoothly both during your stay and after.

The house is not suitable for smoking in. If you must smoke, please do so outside the property, use an ashtray and dispose of the remains in a bin.
* Don't bring people to the house who haven't paid me to stay *
If a new person needs to stay at short notice, please tell me before your arrival, and I will see what I can do. If you are meeting someone, you can take them to Connaught Avenue, the local high street with many restaurants and coffee places. Or go for a lovely walk by the sea!
* No Parties! *
The house is a comfortable place to relax. My neighbours are all families and professionals.
