Great location, city getaway, 98% walk score, next to the Convention Center, no additional costs or fees. Includes breakfast, snacks, WiFi, parking. Read the reviews and know I'll do everything I can to make your stay wonderful. Rates start at $69.
Greetings from Seattle and thanks for considering my place. I've tried to make this the best Airbnb deal in downtown Seattle -- no deposit required or cleaning fee, no "check-out checklist" to clean, change linens or do laundry before leaving -- you can just leave when you're ready and Nadia, the world's best housekeeper, will go in and make the place fresh and ready for the next guests. Unlike hotels, there's no 17.9% hotel occupancy or state taxes, you'll save upwards of $45 a day in parking, and the mini-bar is free. The calendar is always up to date, so if you have a few Airbnb reviews and Instant Book privileges, you can book immediately. Otherwise, drop me a note and let me know a little about you and why you're coming to Seattle.
This is a beautifully furnished, private bedroom with private bath in a condo, just off Pike Street. An ideal hotel alternative: the best in comfort, price, and location -- a half block east of the Central Business District that includes the Convention Center, a 7-minute walk from the Westlake Light Rail link to/from the airport, a block south of the Pike Pine Corridor which encompasses the Retail Shopping Core, and a block west of Capitol Hill, Seattle's most prominent area for nightlife and entertainment. This location has a walk score of 98 out of a possible 100, and a transit score of 100, meaning it's easy to get anywhere from here.
You'll have a totally private accommodation -- chances are you won't meet the hostess unless you'd like to because the guest quarters are separate from the main condo. Upon booking, you'll get an email explaining where to pick up the keys, along with a lot of other information about getting to downtown from the airport or train and lots of recommendations for things to do.
When you look up the address on the map (1400 Hubbell Place) it will look like the building is right next to the freeway, but the freeway runs under the city in this area so it won't block your walking the city, and this guest accommodation is on the quiet side of the building.
You won't need to rent a car -- first, you'll be downtown within walking distance to shopping, theaters, museums, Pike Place Market, two great shopping malls, many restaurants, and more. If you want to venture out a little, Seattle is known for its low-cost public transportation that's highly accessible from where you'll be staying, and cabs are easy to reserve (or hail one), plus their fees are quite reasonable. A parking permit for free street parking is provided for guests who do drive.
Accommodations: A wonderfully comfortable queen-size bed made up with cotton linens and hypoallergenic bedding. Spa robes, too. Once you book, there are no other costs to you, unless you want maid service during your stay. Plenty of extra bed and bath linens always available.
Features: LGBT friendly, free high-speed internet access (WiFi), Cable+TV/DVD/CD, and your own little alcove with microwave, toaster, drip and presse coffee makers, a mini bar refrigerator/freezer -- perfect for breakfasts and light meals. The condominium is a secure environment with an on-site building manager and front desk concierge. There are two rooftop decks with outstanding city views. This has been a downtown favorite since 1999.
Breakfast: Your mini-bar will be stocked with complimentary breakfast fare including muffins or crumpets, Greek yogurt, cereal, milk, juice, fresh fruit, regular and decaf coffees, lots of teas, butter, jam, honey, and bottled water. Let me know in advance if you'd like us to make a substitution (no extra charge). Plus, we're happy to get special items and have them here for your arrival -- like champagne or a favorite cheese, at cost (no service charge).
This is a comfortable, private get-a-way, a couple short blocks from the Convention Center, a half block from Hilton Suites, right up the street from the Sheraton, and four short blocks to Pacific Place Mall. The location is amazing.
The calendar is always up-to-date, so you can rely on the dates. I hope you book with me.
Siena, your hostess, and Nadia, the great
In the email I send you before your arrival, it'll tell you how to gain access to the building and apartment. It's easy and there are no restrictions on the time of day or night you arrive, come and go, or check out.
On a map it looks like the condo is next to a freeway, but it runs under the city, so it's easy to walk anywhere downtown.
Other Things to Note
Free Zone 21 Parking. There are 60 blocks in a 10 x 7-block radius of the building for free Zone 21 parking. If you can't find parking on the street right in front of the building when you arrive, you might want to take your luggage up to the condo before looking for a space. The parking permit will be on the desk in your room, along with a map showing all Zone 21 parking spaces. Once parked, you can stay there for 72 hours before you need to move your car to another Zone 21 space.
Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, but since I moved here in 1998, I've usually been able to find a space within a couple blocks of the building, but on certain times, like Saturday nights and Sundays, I've had to venture further out in the neighborhood. With a little patience, I've never had to resort to parking in a pay lot.
If you have physical challenges, let me know ahead of your arrival and I'll secure a parking space on the street where you'll be staying, or at least within one or two blocks, using my car to hold a space for you and then we can swap places with your car when you arrive.
If you plan to be using your car a lot and going in and out more than, say, once a day, it'd be more convenient to pay the extra money to book a place that includes reserved parking in the building.
Dear Prospective Guest,
There aren’t many house rules. Basically, come in and make yourself comfortable. There’s no such thing as a check-in time that’s too late, so no worries there. Let me know if you'd like an earlier check-in time than 3pm or later check-out time than noon. It can usually be arranged, depending on other bookings. Worst case scenario, we can store your luggage.
All the food and drinks in your private little food alcove are complimentary, so help yourself to what's been called The World’s First Free Mini Bar.
The building is concrete, which means it’s pretty soundproof, so you don’t need to be shy about the volume of music or TV – just keep it moderate after 10pm.
Hold onto the keys and, if you drive, return the parking permit when you check out. The lobby key fob has a $50 replacement cost imposed by the homeowners association that I must pass on to you, should you lose it. With that in mind, no one has ever lost one in 14 years, so I’m pretty confident it won’t be an issue for future guests (my cell # is on the key chain). The parking permit, on the other hand, is $200 should you lose it, because they’re virtually priceless and irreplaceable until new permits are issued by the city every two years. It’s only been lost twice -- once by my nephew and once by a woman visiting a few years ago -- when they returned their rental cars, the agency said they never found the permit. I've since written a reminder on the bottom of the welcome letter, so when guests refer back to the letter to see where to leave the keys upon check-out, they'll also be reminded to return the parking permit. No problems since then.
After you book and well before your arrival date, you’ll receive an email from me explaining how to get to the building, where to pick up the keys, and all sorts of good information about things to do in and around this wonderful city. When you arrive, there will be tourist brochures and a welcome letter on the desk with more information, like the WiFi access code, how to get to the laundry room, rooftop decks, and restaurant recommendations.
I want you to be relaxed and happy and thoroughly enjoy your time in Seattle. I'll do everything I can to make that happen, so will Nadia, the best housekeeper in the world. It’s hoped you’ll book with me. I'm confident you’ll enjoy the accommodations. I'll do everything I can to make your stay wonderful.
Cozy one bedroom, private bath with kitchenette was perfect for my stay in Seattle. A healthy walk up 43 steps to Freeway Park is your commute to the Convention Center. Siena is the best hostess and a warm hearted spirit.
Simply Fantastic! For start, it's in a great location, with down-town, public transport and tourist areas easy walking distance one way, and some great restaurants only minutes walk the other way. The place is great - comfortable, spotless, a great bed and private. But what's amazing is the way Siena has thought of everything a traveller could need. Not only is there a well stocked fridge with food and drink (how many places in the world have a free mini bar?), but every other small detail is catered for. And above all, Siena is the perfect host. I could not have felt more welcomed and could not recommend the place more highly. Thanks Siena.
Siena was very welcoming, and went way out of her way to make sure I felt at home. The "breakfast" part of B&B also included beer and wine in the fridge, fruit, snacks, and everything I could have wanted. Siena owns two private units off of a single hallway that everyone must use, but the room and bathroom feel private. Everything was clean and tidy, and even though the building isn't the newest it felt cozy and comfortable. The roof of the building is also amazing – on two different nights I took beers up there with a couple friends and enjoyed the beautiful view of the city at night. Great location and pleasant stay – would visit again!
Thanks for your kind words.
I just don't want future guests to think that everyone uses the main hallway. It's private and only occasionally used by the house cleaner and myself. No other guests or strangers have access.
Thanks for being such a great guest. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope you'll come back.
This place is very secure and as you walk to the end of the hallway, you'll see a mirror at the top of the door and that's the room. The room has a lock so you can have the feel of a hotel with the housekeeper across the hall. Siena is amazing for having a loaded fridge with fruits, bagels, beer, wine, juice and much more for FREE! The bathroom is stocked with towels, shampoo, body wash, cups, etc just like a real hotel! She is an amazing host providing us with a great stay and recommendations to places in Seattle! Thank you, Siena :)
Staying with Siena could only be described as an AirBnb dream! Not only was the location and amenities perfect. Siena went out of her way to make us feel welcome with a mini continental breakfast, some beverages, and provided delicious coffee. The room was perfect for two, and close to everything in the heart of Seattle. This was the best AirBnB i have yet to stay in. Siena was also very accessible through text and even helped me out with a mishap that occurred. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here and would definitely return here again.
Thank you for making my first trip to Seattle a wonderful and comforting experience.
My boyfriend and I decided to try Airbnb for the first time during our trip to Seattle. We were both a bit nervous to try it out. Our experience was wonderful. Sienna is a great host who knows how to make guests feel welcome. Little touches like remembering my boyfriends name even though I was the one who made the booking. Siena is also incredibly approachable - which makes her very reliable. If you call or message her she will certainly respond in the most hallmark way you can imagine. She is very sweet.
The room and bathroom are both very clean and comfortable. The location is great! We used Uber to get around to different neighborhoods and it was really inexpensive. Feel free to use my code : katp156 for a free first ride (up to $20).
Overall - because of the wonderful time I had here, I will certainly use AirBnb again. Only now, I worry that the bar has been set too high! Thanks for the great stay!
Great stay! The listing was just as described. I stayed during an event at the Convention Center, for which it was awesome (especially considering that the "conference hotel" is not attached to the Center either, so you'll be walking outside and across a street in either case). I easily walked my way around near the apartment for groceries and good restaurants within mere blocks; if you can bear to walk three-quarters of a mile, you'll have too many opportunities to count. The bedroom and bathroom at the apartment are wonderful; no complaints. I didn't see much of Siena during the visit, but she was always available over email and took care of my every request right away.

I moved to Seattle in 1990 and love it here. Beautiful city, wonderful people.
I've been hosting since 1999 and have met terrific people from all over the world. It's gratifying to be able to provide an affordable, comfortable hotel alternative right in the heart of the City.
I'm also a writer and nutritional therapist. I love my work.
