I've worked to make this the best Airbnb deal in downtown Seattle -- no deposit required or cleaning fee, no "check-out checklist" to clean, change linens or do laundry before leaving -- you just leave when you're ready and Nadia, the world's best housekeeper, will go in and make the place fresh and ready for the next guests. Unlike hotels, there's no 17.9% hotel occupancy or state taxes, you'll save upwards of $45 a day in parking, and the mini-bar is free. The calendar is always up to date, so if you have a few Airbnb reviews or Airbnb-verified information, with Instant Book privileges, you can book immediately. This is a private bedroom and private bath in a condo, just off Pike Street. An ideal hotel alternative: the best in comfort, price, and location -- a half block east of the Central Business District that includes the Convention Center, a 7-minute walk from the Westlake Light Rail link to/from the airport, a block south of the Pike Pine Corridor which encompasses the Retail Shopping Core, and a block west of Capitol Hill, Seattle's most prominent area for nightlife and entertainment. This location has a walk score of 98 out of a possible 100, and a transit score of 100, meaning it's easy to get anywhere from here using Seattle's famous and inexpensive public transportation.
You'll have a totally private accommodation -- chances are you won't meet the hostess unless you'd like to because the guest quarters are separate from the main condo.
As it gets closer to your arrival, you'll get an email explaining where to pick up the keys, along with a lot of other information about getting to downtown from the airport or train or BoltBus and lots of recommendations for things to do.
When you see the location on a map it will look like the building is separated from the rest of downtown by a freeway, but the freeway runs under the city here, so it won't block your walking, and as for noise, this guest accommodations are on the quieter side of the building.
A parking permit for free street parking is provided for guests who do drive, but parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you plan to use your car a lot during your stay, you might want to choose another accommodation or pay for parking in the many lots in the vicinity.
You won't need a car -- first, you'll be downtown within walking distance to shopping, theaters, museums, Pike Place Market, two great shopping malls, many restaurants, cafes, and more. If you want to venture out a little, Seattle is known for its low-cost public transportation that's highly accessible from where you'll be staying, and UBER or cabs are easy to reserve (or hail, even), plus their rates are reasonable, especially Uber and Lyft.
Accommodations include a wonderfully comfortable queen-size bed made up with cotton linens and hypoallergenic bedding. Spa robes, too. Once you book, there are no other costs to you, unless you want maid service during your stay. Plenty of extra bed and bath linens always available.
The accommodations include free high-speed internet access (WiFi), Cable+TV/DVD/CD, and your own little kitchen area with microwave, toaster, drip and presse coffee makers, a mini bar refrigerator/freezer -- perfect for breakfasts and light meals, and washer/dryer on the premises.
Nightly rates start at $99. I price the way hotels do, highest during high summer season and special events, low in the off season. Rates can go as high as $219 during special events, like Comicon and Pax, which is about a third to a quarter what you'd pay at a hotel for similar accommodations.
The condominium is a secure environment with an on-site building manager, front desk concierge, and proud to be LGBT friendly. There are two rooftop decks with outstanding city views. This downtown oasis has been a downtown favorite since 1999.
Breakfast: Your mini-bar will be stocked with complimentary breakfast fare including muffins or crumpets, Greek yogurt, cereal, milk, juice, fresh fruit, regular and decaf coffees, lots of teas, butter, jam, and bottled water. Let me know in advance if you'd like us to make a substitution (no extra charge). Plus, we're happy to get special items and have them here for your arrival -- like champagne or a favorite cheese, at cost (no service charge).
This is a comfortable, private get-a-way, a couple short blocks from the Convention Center, a half block from Hilton Suites, right up the street from the Sheraton, and four short blocks to Pacific Place Mall. The location is amazing.

In the email I send you before your arrival, it'll tell you how to gain access to the building and apartment. It's easy and there are no restrictions on the time of day or night you arrive, come and go, or check out.

Other Things to Note
Free Zone 21 Parking. There are 60 blocks in a 10 x 7-block radius of the building for free Zone 21 parking. If you can't find parking on the street right in front of the building when you arrive, you might want to take your luggage up to the condo before looking for a space. The parking permit will be on the desk in your room, along with a map showing all Zone 21 parking spaces. Once parked, you can stay there for 72 hours before you need to move your car to another Zone 21 space.
Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, but since I moved here in 1998, I've usually been able to find a space within a couple blocks of the building, but on certain times, like Saturday nights and Sundays, I've had to venture further out in the neighborhood. With a little (sometimes a lot) of patience, I've never had to resort to parking in a pay lot.
If you have physical challenges, let me know ahead of your arrival and I'll secure a parking space on the street in front of the building or at least within one or two blocks, using my car to hold a space for you and then we can swap places with your car when you arrive.
If you plan to be using your car a lot and going in and out more than, say, once a day -- sorry, but it'd be more convenient to pay the extra money to book a place that includes reserved parking in the building.

There aren’t really many house rules. Basically, come in and make yourself at home. There’s no such thing as a check-in time that’s too late, so no worries there. Let me know if you'd like an earlier check-in time than 3pm or later check-out time than noon. It can usually be arranged, depending on other bookings. Worst case scenario, we can store your luggage.
All the food and drinks in your private little food alcove are complimentary, so help yourself to what's been called The World’s First Free Mini Bar.
The building is concrete, which means it’s pretty soundproof, so you don’t need to be shy about the volume of music or TV – just keep it moderate after 10pm.
Hold onto the keys and, if you drive, return the parking permit when you check out. The lobby key fob has a $50 replacement cost imposed by the homeowners association that I must pass on to you, should you lose it. With that in mind, no one has ever lost one in 16 years, so I’m pretty confident it won’t be an issue for future guests (my cell # is on the key chain). The parking permit, on the other hand, is $200 should you lose it, because they’re virtually priceless and irreplaceable until new permits are issued by the city every two years. It’s only been lost twice -- once by my nephew and once by a woman visiting a few years ago -- when they returned their rental cars, the agency said they never found the permit. I've since written a reminder on the bottom of the welcome letter, so when guests refer back to the letter to see where to leave the keys upon check-out, they'll also be reminded to return the parking permit. No problems since then.
After you book and well before your arrival date, you’ll receive an email from me explaining how to get to the building, where to pick up the keys, and all sorts of good information about things to do in and around this wonderful city. When you arrive, there will be tourist brochures and a welcome letter on the desk with more information, like the WiFi access code, how to get to the laundry room, rooftop decks, and restaurant recommendations.
