My humble abode is a 2 bedroom/2 bath home with one fully furnished bedroom with queen bed and a guest bathroom. Open air floor plan with an entertainment style kitchen so if you enjoy cooking...... It is nestled in a quiet, older neighborhood and an 1/8 of a mile from Highway 50 and the light rail station that can take you into downtown Sacramento or Historic Folsom. My home is my haven of relaxation so I try to create this type of environment.
Within walking distance, you'll find a local market, drug store, restaurants, etc. Post office nearby but too far to walk. A drive in movie theatre is minutes away-one of last in the U.S. still standing. The local mall is only a 15 min drive. A 10 minute drive from the UCD Medical Center.
The American River bike trail is just across the Highway 50 overpass.
Use of hot tub and BBQ in the backyard and washer/dryer in the garage; wireless internet, Direct TV available.
Room is available anywhere from 1-2 wks to 1-2 months; longer stays negotiable and depends on compatibility.
Discount available for UCD med students/interns or if stay is more than a month
All house access except my room
Respectful of privacy but will strike up conversation as time allows in our schedules.
My neighborhood is established and very low key. A mix of working class and retired. We have an active neighborhood watch program. Access to a park 5-6 blocks away, 5 + acres in size with two playgrounds, 3-4 tennis courts, 2 covered seating areas, 3 baseball fields, and the school next to it has several open basketball courts available for use. I enjoy living here as it is quiet yet very close to the freeway/shopping/light rail.
Street parking is available. I can provide directions from the airport upon request.
Julie's place is a hidden gem in the middle of sprawling Sacramento. I stayed at her Rosemont home for five weeks. It is contemporary style with an open kitchen, sunny bathroom and spacious bedroom. Her backyard is a retreat! Julie is friendly and made me feel at home.
This was my first time using Airbnb for a temporary space in Sacramento, and I'm so happy with my decision. I stayed at Julie's house for over two weeks, and I must say, she is a wonderful host. Her house is clean, warm and welcoming, and provided me enough space and privacy. On my arrival, she had fresh flowers and a gift basket ready for me. Often she light up these scented candles which helped me relax and sleep well after my super long work days. Julie also let me share her kitchen, which is again so clean and organized. She had a variety of tea and honey sitting at the counter for me, which is my perfect way to start the day.
I would definitely recommend her and would stay with her the next time. Thanks Julie for making my stay so comfortable!!
I stayed with Julie for one month while in Sacramento for business and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! She completely opened her home to me and made me feel welcome in every way. Her house was exactly like it looks in the photos- big and airy, very clean, and neatly decorated.
I'm a big cook and she was more than happy to let me use her kitchen, all of her cooking utensils, and her outdoor grill. Not to mention her amazing hot tub! She shared her meals with me on occasion and left fresh flowers in my room and bathroom every week. She even left me a little welcoming gift of pretty, girly soaps and lotions in my room. The bed was extremely comfy, and the room was fresh and bright.
When staying with Julie I would expect a clean, quiet place to rest, with friendly company who lets you do your own thing and feel at home.
