Our villa is about great architecture and views. Guests love the superb, ocean-front location with sweeping ocean views. Some guests say the location is far, but if you're looking for calm and privacy within a 5-minute drive to town, this is it.
This is a modern, luxury villa in an insanely great location. It sits right above the surf and waves of Nusa Dua. It's got a nice cliff-front position. Guests love the views and the progression of green to blue as the reef fades to open ocean. You'll find a homely South East Asian touch with the abundant Burmese handicrafts and decorations. Our owner has been living in Burma for two decades.
All the villa facilities: pool, kitchen and beach access. This will be your home, so we want you to feel at home. Ask the villa management office upfront about the path to the beach.
Interaction with Guests
We'll be there at check-in to get you on your feet. Let us know if you'd like to check out some local beaches or restaurants. There's a lot of beauty in the area and a nice chat over an ice-tea will bring out some of the best tips.
We are located in the Asmara Heavenly Residence complex. A secure, private housing estate with 24 hour security, private beach access and a villa management office. Our location is super secluded, in fact, the closest thing nearby our complex is a Balinese village. You will have to drive about 5-10 minutes to Nusa Dua to get food/groceries/supplies. Think of this as a 'summer house'.
We are close to Geger beach, which is suitable for swimming, water-sports, snorkeling and sunbathing. There are numerous hotels in Nusa Dua as well that offer breakfast and brunch specials. We love the brunch at the Mulia Resort. That one is very good.
Car/driver is highly recommended. There are not a lot of facilities within walking distance. The cost is $45/day and gas is included, tip is optional but recommended for good service. Motorbikes can be rented for the more adventurous. Bikes we can provide for $6-7/day.
Other Things to Note
Internet can be slow. The telephone reception is not that great. Most guest don't mind since this is the right place to unplug and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of a great villa in a great location. We suggest stopping by the grocery store on the way to the villa. The nearest grocery store is about a 5 minute drive.
Respect our staff, respect the villa, love Bali!
We spent 2 nights at The Asmara Villa during Nyepi day (Silent day) and had a lovely time there.
The view is stunning, the villa is spacious and comfy, the staffs are helpful. Jing and Wayana always communicate and inform us about the situation in bali during Nyepi day.
The only disappointment that we had was we didn't stay longer in this wonderful place.
I highly recommend this villa and the host!
This villa is amazing, better than the pics!! The rooms are huge and the hosts have left thoughtful details throughout like sunscreen and mosquito repellant in the bathrooms, dvds in the lounge, drinks in the fridge and a phone to use during the stay. The beds are insanely comfortable and the pool is magic - we loved every minute. A couple minor points - the water kept cutting off during the morning, but it would always come back later. We think the housekeeping may have been turning the pump off to clean and forgetting to turn it on, but not sure! The shower does take a long time to heat up, but it gets lovely and hot if you wait a little. Definitely stock up on everything, because there is nothing within walking distance - but the nusa dua beach grill will deliver to the villa and their food is delicious. Jing and Wayana are so lovely and helpful!! We went to the Mulia for a buffet dinner on their advice and it was sensational. All in all, we will absolutely come back and stay longer!!!!!
we've experienced such a wonderful time there. The villa couldn't be better. the swimming pool is actually so much larger than what I've imagined. we rent a motorbike but unfortunately had been fined by the Police. They don't accept foreign driving's license at all.
I might bring more of my friend to this villa again some time next year.
Thanks Jing and Wayana, they were so helpful.
One word for this listing: AMAZING!!! Jing and Wayana were beyond welcoming and helped us plan all kinds of activities. The villa exceeded our expectations (and they were quite high based on the photos). This place is beautiful! The neighborhood is quiet and a little off the beaten path (not too far). We cannot wait to go back.
We had an awesome stay at Asmara Villas with Jing and Wayana. The Villa and the view are ineffable and we enjoyed every minute at this wonderful place!:) Hoping to come back soon, another trip with Jing around the island is definitely needed!
Wayana is a perfect hostess! She genuinely loves to meet new people and learn new things. She personally visited us several times during our stay to make sure everything was perfect, which it was. She even went to the trouble of bringing us a local Balinese Chicken dish for us to try, which was truly enjoyed and appreciated. I will use Wayana for all our accommodation needs for our future Bali trips.
As for the accommodation. The villa is exactly as described. It is a well maintained very spacious villa with exceptional views. Complete with all the creature comforts. Great cooking facilities. I can highly recommend Wayana and the Villa.

Bali-fornia: Jing is from California and Wayana is from Bali. Our family loves travel, our island, and our doors are open to fun-loving travelers.
Hi there. I worked at Airbnb for Indonesia market development. I go between Singapore and Bali. My wife and daughter will most likely be hosting you.
I studied at Berkeley and came out to the real world with an engineering degree in the (website hidden) crash of 2000. I worked in a nuclear physics lab, wrote C++ code, and then I took off to travel the world for two years. I meandered across Asia and Latin America. When I came to Bali, I stopped traveling but didn't go home. Bali was my new home. I met the perfect girl, she was Balinese and very pretty. I took her to dinner and missed my flight. I ended up staying on the island.
Jing and I have been married since 2007 and we have a young daughter Eka. Just ask and we'll be happy to take you to see hidden beaches, underground parties and off-the-beaten path things to see/do in Bali. We hope you'll share a few interesting tid-bits about yourselves as well.
Our favorite thing about hosting is getting the feeling of traveling without leaving Bali. Getting to experience a guest's culture and background is something we enjoy a lot. We make a point to meet each guest and get to know them a bit. Each guest is different and unique, we try 'feel' what you're in the mood for and go from there.
