Community vibe 'round here; everyone expected to be respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. One week maximum stay.
Bring a tent and gear to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and charming compost privy included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out!
I have a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 3 ducks and 7 sweet mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Hills Cafe and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking :)

This place is amazing. It is a secluded (but also in the middle of everything) community of loving, caring people that offer some space up to share with you. The outdoor kitchen is fully stocked - with community food that you can use - the outdoor showers are great (and very warm), and the vibe of the whole place could not be better. Plus, the value is amazing! If you are looking to camp in Austin, this is the place for you.

One of the best kept secrets in Austin. A hidden gem. Sometimes, paying less for your stay ends up being a much better experience than paying more for a private room. That was the case here. This place is a unique experience most people will never realize. The communal aspect, the farm animals, the beautiful creek and forest trail, and yet within minutes you can hop the bus and be in a completely different urban environment, an abrupt stark contrast that makes for a truly unique Austin experience. Felt almost too good to be true. Surreal.

Close to nature but basic amenities provided, so bring food for cooking if you want to. Shower was nice. Compost toilet clean and odorless.

funky laid back South Austin alternative lifestyle. Developing my in town 2 acre 'farmette' on the creek. I've been in the food/catering biz for many years and enjoy people and gatherings. Hope to see you at one of our 2nd Wednesday community PotLuck parties!
