Lastly, this is a full home. It is likely you will other guests and housemates. We do our best to accommodate everyone. As such we have among the lowest rates in town. I will say that our home is not the Ritz. If you expect that then you will be disappointed. We've been told we have a hostel feel. This is the feel we are going for and these are the types of guests we hope to attract. If you are going to be rude or critical of our home then please book at a hotel. If you are going to be down to earth, friendly, respectful and communicative then we do our best to do the same and we would love to host you :)
If you need an additional twin bed let me know a week prior to your arrival and I can put it in the room

Interaction with Guests
We are open and friendly to interact with guests. Engage with us and we are likely to engage back :) Please know that we are not traveling as are you. We are here living our day to day. If we seem busy it is not because we are ignoring you or unfriendly, but likely just distracted. We will always try our best to say hi.
We are so close to everything. I love being able to walk everywhere I need to go.
Other Things to Note

The atmosphere for the household is absolutely wonderful, Brent and his room mates are all wonderful host's, the set up for the rooms available to rent astounded me considering this isn't some sort of hotel or hostel, they are willing to go above the call of duty to help guest, make friends and be all around good people. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to visit or drive through salt lake.
I had a great stay. The house is everything it advertised. Cozy eclectic room with a comfortable bed, full access to the kitchen, fresh eggs from the chickens in the backyard, and welcoming housemates. There's a grocery store right around the corner, so it was easy to cook for myself and keep my stay cheap. Plus when you do eat there, they have a great porch in the back that looks out to the mountains. Only a couple blocks away from the light rail, so transportation was no issue. Good stuff, I would come back.
Brent's place is a super comfortable setting, just what we needed. He was in contact with us ahead of time and roommates also helped us out with information as needed! Great walking access to downtown Salt Lake City and definitely a place to feel at home for a short stay.
I was in Salt Lake City for work and decided to stay a couple of extra days to explore downtown SLC. Brent's place was perfect. It was close enough to the happening downtown area where some days I would walk downtown. On other days I took a $5 uber ride to the spots I wanted to go. Brent was out of town during the time I stayed in the colorful room. He e-mailed me the day before my first day to confirm all the details. His roommates were very friendly. The room was large so a lot of space for my luggage. It was also kept very neatly.
Brent is terrific! I enjoyed meeting him and staying at his place. He offered his guests all you can eat organic eggs for free each morning. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Salt Lake City to stay with Brent at his Urban Farm!
Brent was a great host and we loved our stay in the colorful room. We had a view of the backyard with chickens, bunnies and ducks. We cooked some eggs for breakfast. Yum! The neighborhood is very central. We walked to Liberty Park and found a great bagel place on the way. The next day we walked to Les Madelienes Bakery which is one of the top bakeries in SLC. Can't wait to stay here again the next time we are in SLC.
I stayed with Brent and housemates for a 3 week ski vacation in SLC. I had a wonderful time! Brent and housemates were welcoming and engaging. The chickens, ducks and rabbits are equally engaging as well as entertaining for my dog. The bed in the "Colorful Room" is super comfortable. I felt quite at home for the time I spent there.
