Rainbow House is a GLBT friendly space, just 15 minutes South of Downtown Portland. We are close to the I-5, 217, and Hwy 99 so easy access to pretty much everything! :)
This is a lovely 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath guest house that is attached to the back of my home. It has a full sized living room with dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. One room has a queen bed, the other 2 have kings. The lower room has access to a bathroom downstairs, and the 2 upstairs rooms share the master bath.
This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be close to Portland, but not in the middle of things. A quick 15 minute drive and you are downtown, then just as easily home. :) Or you can take public transit and be there or back in 20.
We have a Fred Meyer, Winco, Cosco, lots of resturants and the Washington Square Mall all within 10 mins. by car, or 15- 20 by bus. And we are only 15 mins. from the train station, or 30 mins. from the airport. :)
This listing is for the "Queen Suite", which has a King sized bed, and shared bathroom.
Come stay with us and enjoy a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. :)
Super comfy large room in a nice house. Flexible with timings, which worked well for us as we were a little delayed (sorry!)
Warm welcome and shown around. A little tricky to find the place if arriving at night. More recommended for those with a car.
Met some lovely people - Nichole (longer term resident) gave us great recommendations for Portland and for where to go for the rest of our trip. As did Blair!
A very comfortable LGBT+ place near a cool, liberal city.
Thank you! Matt and Liam
During my time I the rainbow house my stay was better than excepted the commendations where wonderful plenty of room to move around as well as just finding a comfortable spot to sit and relax. Victoria and her girls worked hard to keep me entertained and did more than expected. In all my travels that I do as a truck driver and places that I have stayed this one is at the top of my list of places to revisit.
I want to give a special thanks to Shadow for showing me around the town and going shopping with me as well as hanging out with me for some of the night life
I can honestly say Victoria is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I would consider her to be a friend now in just the 2 weeks I have known her. The Rainbow House has got me hook line and sinker. I am staying for at least 1-2 months. It is a great deal for a very comfortable home. The guesthouse is perfect for my needs while I acclimate to my new city and a new job. I have relocated to the Princess Room to save a little money. I can say without a doubt the beds are all wonderful and the bedrooms very clean. the women helping Victoria tend to this place do a great job and all have interesting stories when you strike up a conversation.
Come stay a while. I did... and still am.
Thank You Victoria
OMG I am still here!
It's that perfect for me and my needs as a I just moved here from San Francisco. Everyone is happy to help you find your way around and offer good suggestions. The yard is being worked on, but it is already looking like a place to get all cozy in the shade or just walk around without being surrounded by nosy neighbors. If you are here at the right time of year, you can even walk a hundred yard to pick fresh blackberries growing long a side street. YUM!
Victoria's Rainbow House is a great place to stay. It is very convenient to downtown Portland and the surrounding areas. You get a pretty sizeable room in a connected guest house with a full downstairs kitchen at your disposal. The upstairs rooms have a shared bathroom. It is clean, comfortable, the ladies assisting Victoria are very nice and unobtrusive. There is also a wonderful backyard area to chillax. There are several very close food markets and restaurants. The upstairs gets pretty darn hot during the summer days, but the in-room AC units are adequate with your door closed. I extended my stay another week from my original plans because it is so comfortable and convenient at a great price.
It is important to note this is an ALL inclusive LGBT home. Diversity is the norm here. If you are not comfortable in truly diverse environments, this might not be the place for you. There is nothing but open, genuine acceptance of everyone under the "Rainbow" here and all are welcome. Victoria and team have created a safe, comfortable home away from home for all who stay here.
This was a wonderful experience of living at this Rainbow house. The room is clean, spacious and quiet. The hosts are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was awesome! I will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who are looking for a bnb in Portland. :)
Victoria has a beautiful guest house with a gorgeous backyard (with strawberries!!) and a fantastic staff. We felt so welcomed and comfortable. The bed in the queen suite was SO cozy. My roommate and I stayed there a month after moving to Portland while we found a place. It was nice to feel like we had our own space during that time. This place is walking distance from places like WinCo and very close to the highway. We had a wonderful experience here -- thank you all again for everything!!

My name is Victoria, and I want to welcome you to our lovely city. Portland is a wonderful place, with so much to do. I have never lived in a more accepting and nurturing environment than this city. Everyone is encouraged to be themselves here, and that is why I love it!
I own and operate "Over the Rainbow Tranformations", which is right across the street from "Rainbow House". Feel free to check out our website for more info on that. :)
I look forward to meeting you and making you comfortable. :)
