Rose and her husband were very friendly. They tried to make our DC stay better in all ways, they helped with car parking, and restaurant informatio Thank you Virginia and Claudio
Unfortunately I was not able to go to Washington due to my apartment's remodeling taking too long. I booked Rose's place to be with my niece who was coming from Dublin, Ireland for a Neuroscience International Conference. My niece, Dr. Danielle Corbett, had a 5 days stop in N.Y.C. and came for Thanksgiving with me and her cousins here in Miami and returned to Ireland yesterday. So, apart of a few phone calls with Rose, I will describe the stay from Danielle's words:
She arrived at Rose's place around mid-night and was received warmly, even at such late time! The four days conference required her to be at the venues early and meetings would take place after conference hours which forced her to return late everyday. Yet, she reported to me that all went very well and she enjoyed her stay at Rose's place.
Rose was kind to help Danielle finding her way in D.C. and I have only a huge Thank You, Rose for assisting my niece!
Like every other reviewer I can only thank Rose and Billy for our stay in this beautiful apartment, and for their warm hospitality. The location, comfort are way beyond what you would get in a hotel and the conversation fun and thought provoking. Ask Billy about his family history!
The metro to the attractions of DC is just a few minutes walk and for "seniors" the bus to M street just 85cents!! Highly highly recommended.
Suite in the Heart of Things is the perfect place to stay in DC. Billy and Rose were so welcoming, plus there is a great dog. I had full use of the kitchen plus coffee and fruit, toast, in the morning. a key to the house, laundry and ironing board. also, there is an elevator to the 3rd floor, so no walking bags up. My suite had a living room with my own tv + cable, bedroom, bath. perfect for metro. Great conversation, with interesting international guests and family. I highly recommend.
Rose and Billy are the most gracious hosts. There home is beautiful and the suite is clean, roomy and private. With the Metro and any number of good restaurants within a couple blocks of the house, it is an excellent location. I have stayed with Rose and Billy a number of times and plan to do so in the future.
Staying at Rose's and Billy's place was really great! We immediately felt very welcome and at home. When we needed help or just an information Rose and Billy were always very helpful. Thank you very much again for the wonderful stay!
It's a beautiful house and close to everything! Rose and Billy made us feel like stay home and even better! The room were comfy, clean and lots of space. We even had a private living room with TV and a big balcony just for ourselves. Billy was so patient to play with my son, teach my son new game and show him how to make friend with the dog. My son made very good friend with Baha - Rose and Billy's beautiful dog. I was so surprised because he had been afraid of dogs for he once got bitten by a dog. We would definately stay here again if we ever have chance to go to Washington DC again.
