About this listing
Bedroom in the heart of the trendiest neighborhood on Manhattan. Buzzing with life from bars, restaurants and boutiques giving a real New Yorker experience along with easy subway transit minutes away to all tourist attractions.
East Village double bedroom in gay friendly and social apartment. We have a clean bright and very quiet true NY apartment in the center of the East Village with tons of bars, restaurants, boutiques and Tompkin Sq Park/Union Sq just outside the door. A fully functional kitchen as well as toiletries and towels included for the shower(just bring your toothbrush!). Two Blocks from the L-train that will take you to both the west side and trendy Willamsburg.
We have a lot of knowledge of the area and the city for activities and nightlife. The apartment can be social or as private as you wish and we love meeting new people and sharing our NYC experience. Occasionally work from home but for the most part the apartment will seem like your own. We are very easy going and will accommodate the best we can with your traveling schedule and any needs you may have when you arrive.
You will have access to the entire apartment. The living room doubles as my bedroom so you are able to use it when I am not home (most of the time). The apartment should have everything you need including toiletries if you need some and a fully functional kitchen with plenty of dishes, cookware, toaster, kettle and juicer. The apartment has 2
A/C units. One in your bedroom and one in the living room so the apartment easily stay cool in the summer. There is also a TV in the bedroom that has wifi with Netflix and Hulu access.
Interaction with Guests
We work a lot but will be home throughout the week and always around to help with any needs or questions! We love to get to know our guests so don't be shy!
The East Village is my favorite neighborhood! It is quite, trendy and super safe but still very active. There are so many great bars, restaurants and little shops all over and great to explore without all the tourist chaos! Please check out the guidebook for some of my favorite places in the city! :)
The 1st Ave stop on the L train is only 2 blocks away and will take you to JFK airport easily or anywhere else in the city as it is the only subway that runs across the city so you will be able to access all subway.
No real house rules, we want you to feel at home. You can come and go as you please. We are very use to having people stay and sharing our space.
Charming and hospitable host, clean and comfortable accommodations. Our first experience with Airbnb was a great success.
Thank you Seth , Joelle & Heather :)
We were warmly welcomed by Seth !! The bedroom is very cosy and Seth was always there whenever we needed help or had questions. He is a great host and you’ll really like it here!!!!
Seth's place is a great spot to stay in NYC...everything was as described on AirBnB and the room/bed was very comfortable. There are lots of great bars/restaurants/parks in the neighborhood and it was a very easy/pleasant walk to get to other points in the city or to the subways. I was only there for one night so that I could see the USWNT ticker tape parade, but it was a really great/fun experience. Thanks, Seth :)
Seth was an amazing host! We also met his partner and their friend, everyone was very friendly. Our room was SO comfortable, we had a challenge getting out of bed in the morning. Seth brews Kombucha, and it is delicious. We have been considering moving to New York City, so it was great to get insight from locals.
The location of Seth's place was great; we were on a fairly quiet street in Alphabet City within short walking distance to various subway entries. Also, we did not use them, but there is a CitiBike rack right outside the building's entrance. It took us no more than 25 minutes by subway or walking to get to everywhere we wanted to visit during our stay. There are also two great juice bars a couple of blocks away and wonderful restaurants scattered throughout the neighborhood.
The place looks different than the photos, but so much better. I love the way the apartment was decorated - Sam is an interior designer and they both worked together to create a very welcoming and attractive place.
It was such a great experience to stay at Seth's place. Not only is he very hospitable, but living like a local is how we wanted to experience the city and we had a blast doing it. I have stayed at other host's places before, and it makes a huge difference when you are able to connect with the host and ask questions about the area. They even left us a bottle of wine!
I would definitely stay here again and will for sure be recommending Seth's place to anyone wanting to experience New York City. Thanks again!
What a great stay! Seth made us feel really welcome and comfortable. We felt like true New Yorkers ;). Thanks again for all you wonderful suggestions. Will most definitely recommend.
