East Village double bedroom in gay friendly and social apartment. We have a clean bright and very quiet true NY apartment in the center of the East Village with tons of bars, restaurants, boutiques and Tompkin Sq Park/Union Sq just outside the door. A fully functional kitchen as well as toiletries and towels included for the shower(just bring your toothbrush!). Two Blocks from the L-train that will take you to both the west side and trendy Willamsburg.
We have a lot of knowledge of the area and the city for activities and nightlife. The apartment can be social or as private as you wish and we love meeting new people and sharing our NYC experience. Occasionally work from home but for the most part the apartment will seem like your own. We are very easy going and will accommodate the best we can with your traveling schedule and any needs you may have when you arrive.
You will have access to the entire apartment. The living room doubles as my bedroom so you are able to use it when I am not home (most of the time). The apartment should have everything you need including toiletries if you need some and a fully functional kitchen with plenty of dishes, cookware, toaster, kettle and juicer.
Very nice, clean and perfectly located apartment. Seth and Robbie are very friendly, willing to help and made us feel at home. We saw them in very few occasions as they are all day out. We used the living room to watch movies. Highly recommendable!
Exactly what we needed: a room to crash in for the night.Friendly hosts, easy to coordinate picking up key, etc., clean lil' apartment and room, great location in the east village.
Loved staying in Seth's apt. Very clean. Will be back.
Seth was amazing!!!!!!!! We absolutely recommend! The neighborhood is great too. Loved it!
Seth was an excellent host, very responsive and available when needed. The apt is in a great part of town and close to the train; Excellent value. Thanks Seth!
Very nice place in a very convenient location. It was clean and the hosts were super friendly. Would stay here again!
Seth's apartment is very nice, close to everything you need, and only two minutes from the closest metro station. Unfortunately, the Internet was down at the time of my stay, but Seth did everything he could to get it fixed. He is a very nice host.
If you have heavy luggage, i wont recommend this place, because the place does not have an elevator, meaning you would have to carry your luggage up 3 stairs.
The picture of the big and bright living room is the host's room, the sofa is his bed, it is actually quite unrealistic that one will be able to use it, as it is unrealistic to have him make his bed everyday.
When we stayed there, you can hear noises from the flats beside you and above you, although there weren't any noise after say 11pm (or perhaps we are too tired and fell asleep immediately)
The wifi was down when I stayed, but Seth offered $20 in compensation.
The place is nice and neat, despite the dodgy lobby.
The room is neat and clean but small. The only table you can use (for e.g. if you want to use the laptop) is the small one next to the bathroom.
The host is nice and easy going.
In all, I will only recommend his place if you want a place to sleep and nothing more.
My friend and I stayed with Seth for 10 nights and absolutely loved our time there. His apartment is cosy and clean and the room is big enough for two. Seth is often away for work etc so you feel like the place is yours but when he's around he's fantastic to chat with and will do his best to make your experience in New York a great one. The apartment is in the best location, about 2 blocks away from the L line and in the heart of all the East Village bars and restaurants. Will definitely come back and stay at Seth's!
We are grateful that Seth let us drop off our bags before the check-in time. He also let us pick up the bags agter the check-out time. The room was as promised. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There was hair as a result of shaving in the sink. The pole that holds the shower toiletries should be changed.
