Da Tattallo flat is located in the heart of Assisi, in front of the Cathedral of St. Rufino - one of the most important churches in town - and near Piazza del Comune. It is situated on the first floor of a building above the Cafè Duomo and it is furnished in a very simple and functional style. It's composed by a double room, a twin room, a kitchen and one bathroom. This flat is the ideal accommodation for those who want to visit Assisi on foot. In fact, our guests will have a parking space at their disposal in a private parking lot 50 metres far from the flat. Maps, itineraries and touristic information are available in order to let you visit also the wonderful medioeval villages in the neighbourhood. Marisa - the nice mistress of the house - and her daughter Marta will be glad to welcome you and meet all your needs.
This was our first time in Assisi and we were welcomed by Marta at her apartment in Piazza San Rufino. This apartment on the first floor was very clean and spacious. We should have stayed at least two nights there as there were more things to see. My children loved the tranquility of this town and meeting a Franciscan Friar from Spain.
Great location and well-recommended.
Enjoyed our stay. Apartment met our expectations, though had to keep windows open to cool the bedrooms, so it was a bit noisy into the late evening. Inexperienced travelers to Europe should be aware that the first floor is not the ground floor, but one up, so bags need to be carried as there is no elevator. Excellent location, and Marta quickly came to our rescue when the taxi driver could not find the address.
Marta was extremely helpful and apartment was perfectly located and pleasant. She works in the tour office and lives in building and speaks good English and Spanish.. Thus, she answered all our questions and gave us good advice.
Apartmentn is above a cafe and across from church. Noise was a small issue one night. Even with two small kids (7 and 5) this wasn't much of an issue.
This was 4th airbnb reservation of this trip around Italy and it was very good stay!
I stayed at Marta's apartment with my mother for two nights in May 2013. Marta was extraordinarily helpful and came and met us when we couldn't find the address in the laneways.
The apartment is very central in Assisi inside the walls of the medieval town.
The apartment was very clean and and the kitchen was well equipped for simple meals if you want to cook for yourself. We only had breakfast in the apartment as there were plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The front bedroom had a bit of noise from the cafe below but nothing that kept us awake at night. The back bedroom was quiet. Marta and her mother live upstairs and there were no noise from there and the apartment was the only other one in that particular staircase. It was a very pleasant experience staying at this place and I'd highly recommend it
Marta is kind and responsive. She went out of her way to help us find the apartment with our car when our GPS navigator gave up due to our inability to drive through some of the blocked piazzas the GPS thought were crossable by car. She came with her own car and led us to the apartment. We speak little Italian and Marta's English is more than adequate for our communcations in writing and speaking. The apartment location is excellent, very centrally located. The apartment was very clean and well-cared for. Also very secure because the only other apartments sharing the same hallway access door are occupied by Marta and her mother. The main bedroom is located just above the patio of a small cafe. Though not rowdy, we did notice the noise of conversations and laughter in the late evening. Otherwise the apartment is pleasantly quiet. Though the apartment doesn't have internet access, the cafe below does for free, and we noticed that once we logged on to the internet in the cafe, our access continued in the apartment itself for our remaining days. The kitchern had most amenities that we needed to cook many of our meals there. The second bedroom, which was used by my sister and her friend, was on the small side with little space for luggage, but still worked well enough. We would most certainly use this apartment again should we return to Assisi, which we loved after the hectic pace of Rome.
I'm Marta, I'm from Assisi. I graduated in Interpreting and Translation in Perugia. During the weekends, I have worked in the tourist office of my town for two years. Last June 2013 I succeeded in taking the licence to work as Tour Leader and this is what most I would like to do. Travelling and meeting people is my passion.
