About This Listing
Comfortable double room in a quiet street near central London. Bars and cafes and shops very close by and green areas.
My home is warm and welcoming and it will be your home from home as everyone who comes here is always invited to relax and enjoy the space. It's newly decorated and is totally self contained and secure. The double room sleeps two people comfortably.
There is a kitchen for guests to eat breakfast which I provide - bread for toasting, jam, marmalade and milk for tea and coffee. The kitchen overlooks really nice gardens. You can use the kitchen at any time as another room to relax in and it overlooks the gardens so a great space to chill. You can buy things and put them in the fridge and there is a cupboard for you to store any food for yourself.
I provide towels and a hair dryer so you can travel lighter! There is a European electric plug and there are also umbrellas for you to borrow!
There are 2 WC's and 1 bathroom with shower and bathroom which is shared.
There are attractive bars and restaurants in the immediate area and typical London pubs. You can take the local buses if you like to anywhere but if you wanted to walk, it's a pleasant 25-30 minutes to the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Tate Britain etc. I am more than happy to help with any directions, guides or advice on where to go and what to do so you get the best out of your time here.
Although the check in and check out times are flexible they must be reasonable.
Can everyone please let me know when you are arriving and departing as soon as you can as on rare occasions people may arrive on the same day that you are departing and so check in and check out times will vary.
Don't worry, you will not be asked to check out before lunchtime and if no one is arriving that day you don't have to dash and you can leave your bags until you are ready to travel later in the day.
I look forward to making your stay a comfortable and enjoyable one while you're in London!
Your room is self contained with heater, tv/dvd, table and chair and WIFI
The kitchen is communal at breakfast time but you can also use it for making tea and coffee during the day and to sit in as it's a really nice space.
The bathroom is shared.
Interaction with Guests
There is usually someone around to help or clean the house.
Diverse, close to centre, nice parks, quiet tree lined street, good cafés and local pubs,
Good bus routes which run all night to and from the centre of London.
Please turn appliances and lights off when you go out.
Important! Turn heaters off at night for safety.
Leave your shoes at the front door.
Please try not to shower too late at night (I suggest 8.30pm) as it can disturb other people who may be sleeping.
If you need any more towels or bed linen please ask but these are usually given every week.
Please clean up after yourself, ie bathroom and kitchen, leave as you find for the next person.
Last rule? Enjoy London! :-)
Good location, London Zone 2 about 8 minutes walk to Stockwell Tube Station and 3 minutes to bus stop. Lidl supermarket about 10 minutes walk and other convenient stores nearby. The room was clean, very quiet to sleep at night and the bed confortable. Overall the house is kept clean and organized. It is a great value for the money.
Both Lynn and Sandy are adorable. I will stay with them again without hesitation
Host was very gracious and went out of her way to help us with any non-b&b problems such as way-finding, bus and tube route's, lost and stolen cards, etc. etc. If possible, guests should seize the opportunity to hear her play the guitar and sing. She's very good. Room is comfortable in a walkup in a London row house in a quiet neighborhood near bus and tube stops. The photo posted on the web was misleading, in that it is Lynn's own quarter and not available to guests. We understand that it has been taken down, however. Guests accustomed to being served elaborate breakfasts should be aware that guests will make their own breakfast out of juice, coffee, tea, toast, butter and jam provided by the host. This is quite appropriate in view of the price. This accommodation provided good value, and we would like to stay there again if we return to London.
We had a very nice stay at Lynn´s house, we felt very comfortable, all of our needs were met, like internet wi-fi access, a lovely kitchen with breakfast, there were good services and restaurants at the neighbourhood, and it was near the tube station so we could get anywhere we wanted very easily.
This accommodation was wonderful! The house is located in a great spot, close to the underground and bus stops. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable! Sandy, who was there to welcome us was super friendly and gave lots of great travel advice and knew some great places to go! I highly recommend this accommodation! you won't regret it!
Excellent host, excellent location! Cosy room with a very comfortable bed and enough space to store all goods. Very good equipped kitchen where we found everthing to prepare breakfast and even more elaborate cooking would have been possible. We felt like home from the very first moment and would like to come back as soon as possible.

About the Host, Lynn
I like reading, walking, travelling, singing and playing guitar, interesting conversation, cinema and art. I love meeting new people so Airbnb is really good for me and I always get a buzz from people who arrive here as I still love London after all this time and I really like sharing experiences of where they can go, depending on what they like of course!
I've travelled through the Middle East, South America, Thailand, Spain and love having guests who want to get the best out of London - especially if it's their first time here.
I can speak a little Arabic, Spanish and French.
My motto in life - all you need is love :-)
