2nd floor studio apartment. Large deck with BBQ. 2 acres, next to 150 acres of meadows. Quiet neighborhood. Great bicycling area. Near many wineries, 1/2 hour from the coast, an hour from San Francisco. The Hideaway has completely separate access from the main home. Private entrance, kitchen and 3/4 bathroom, dedicated parking. Solid wall and solid core door separate the Hideaway from the home. Laundry room, shared, available by appointment. Minimum stay: 60 days.

The space
The Wine Country Hideaway is a private studio apartment adjacent to our home with a private entrance and private deck. It is new, retro, and clean. The kitchen and bath are separate rooms from the living/bedroom. The queen bed can swing up into the cabinet, making the apartment quite roomy.
You can enjoy the 39" flat screen TV or the stereo with a CD collection and the ability to connect your devices (with speaker connections, not Bluetooth) to play thru the stereo speakers.
Most days are comfortable temperatures. Summers can be warm, but we usually have very low humidity. Fans, cross ventilation, and a portable cooler help make the Hideaway comfortable in the summer (no air conditioning). A combination of electric baseboard heaters and forced air keep you cozy in the winter.

Guest access
When you visit the Wine Country Hideaway, you will have access to acres of pathways and open space in our neighborhood. If arriving after sunset, the neighborhood gates may be closed, but we will provide you with a code to enter. Dedicated parking is just a few feet from the Hideaway. Neighborhood Speed Limit is 15 mph.

Other things to note
Stairway access is outside and well lit. Our home is set off the street down a long driveway. Please be careful to come to the right house. If you see a home from the street, it's not ours. We can provide sheltered secure storage for your bicycles. We do not allow bicycles inside the Hideaway. Smoking and pets are not allowed on the premises. Laundry access (shared space with exclusive use by appointment) may be available up to twice per month.
We provide "starter" amenities like soap, shampoo, and paper goods. Please plan to provide your own consumables, including laundry detergent, for the remainder of your stay.

We are Mark and MeL, your hosts. We are semi-retired after owning a furniture store for 30 years. We love travel, jazz and blues music, fine wine, and driving twisty roads in our Miata. Some day we hope to return to our favorite travel destinations, Northern Italy, Seattle, the UK, New York, and New Zealand. We are very experienced home exchangers, having traded homes more than 25 times, in places from Seattle to LA to New Orleans, and from New York to Amsterdam and Copenhagen. When you stay in someone's home whether thru exchanging or AirBnB, we feel you get a much more intimate experience of the place you are visiting. We have lived here for more than three decades, and love all that Sonoma County has to offer.
