The space
The house consists of 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. It’s got a lovely kitchen with gas stove and hob. The living room opens up to a small balcony overlooking the majestic Vaal river and the most beautiful sun sets to the west. Down stairs is a large braai room with indoor braai, dining table, foosball table, TV area with DSTV, Netflix and more. The back garden has a 16m swimming pool. Perfect for training and relaxing. There is also a ‘dad-built’ climbing wall and sand pit.

Guest access
The entire house is available for guests. The garage is not for guests but there is ample safe parking on the property.

Other things to note
The swimming pool is not covered but the entire back yard is closed with wall and side gates. Babies and toddlers cannot access the back yard if these gates and glass doors leading to the back remains closed. There is also a river. Guests with babies and toddlers should remain vigilant.
The climbing wall is 6m high with the pool below. It is equipped with safety rope but it was dad built. My kids play on it daily but guests should know that the wall is entirely on their own risk.
We leave our own personal kayaks and bicycles on the property 90% of the time. Guests are welcome to use these at their own risk. There is safety helmets, life jackets and paddles available for their enjoyment. Guests should please be considerate and use these as if it was their own.

The property is situated on Vaal de Grace Golf Estate. The estate boasts a Nick Price championship golf course. It’s on a island in the Vaal river. It’s safe. Kids ride on their bikes on the estate and guests can walk and ride on the golf course paths (golfers have right of way). The river is next to the house. Many fish species can be caught in the river next to the house or from the kayaks. Parys is a vibrant town with small shops and restaurant’s to pick and choose from. Barakah is a MTB, walking and 4x4 trail 15km from the site which is amazing to visits. There is also lots and lots of dirt road for MTB’s to explore. The town is known for sky diving and an amazing zip line for loads of family fun and adventure. Parys Golf and Country is 10min from the property which makes Parys the perfect golfing weekend getaway. Real adventures can be contacted for kayak and 4 wheel bike trips. They also have absailing, paint ball and lots more to entertain the whole family. Casa Cara is a resort outside town with wild animas to look at. They have a Mozambique style bar and bistro with beach sand under your feet while you eat and warm water pool and 3 super tubes. Umfula is a resort outside town with super tubes and swimming pools. Guests can launch a boat at their site for a minimal fee.
