'The Old Dairy loft' is a recently completed loft apartment designed by award winning architects MCK. Originally the site of a dairy farm in the 1850's the new design incorporates an original brick wall, forming a backdrop to the new layout.
It features beautiful mahogany ceilings and cabinetry and is fully carpeted throughout. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/living area with views over an adjacent park. The bedroom has built in wardrobes, a king sized bed which can be reconfigured into 2 single if desired and an ensuite bathroom. There are full laundry facilities and a fully functioning kitchen, complete with oven, gas cooktop, fridge and dishwasher. There is a split system heating/cooling system to keep the interiour at a comfortable temperature. You also have TV, DVD, a Bose iphone dock sound system and free wifi available for your entertainment.
The loft is adjacent to Moore Park and only minutes to the famous eateries of Surry Hills and Dank Street. Fox Studios, Centennial Park and the SCG are a short stroll across Moore Park. The property is 2 kilometers from Sydney city centre and only a 10 minute drive from the airport.
You will find the loft a quiet place to rest but close enough to all the entertainment Sydney has to offer. There are numerous bike paths in the area which lead you from your door to Woolloomoo, the Opera House and other Sydney attractions. Central Station is a 15 walk away through the leafy streets of Surry Hills and the beaches are a short bus ride away.
We recommend Go Get car share as a fantastic way to get around Sydney and they have 6 cars parked within 2 minutes walk of the Loft.
We have a key safe where you can access the door keys at any time of the day or night.
Interaction with Guests
We are always here to help but tend to stay out of our guest's way. The entrance to the Loft is separate to the entrance to our main home, so our paths rarely cross unless required.
Redfern and Surry Hills are diverse, vibrant communities full of fashion, food and design. The streets are busy day and night which makes for a fun area to live. Everything you need is within walking distance, including great parks, sporting venues and shops.
The area is very well serviced by bus and trains. The nearest bus stop is 1 minute from the Loft and you can walk to central train station within 15 minutes. There are also numerous bike paths in the area.
a) Guest and Visitors must comply with all House Rules, By-Laws and instructions from the Manager and security services during their stay; and
b) Guests must notify the Manager of any disputes or complaints from neighbours as soon as is practicable.
Noise and Residential amenity
a) Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties especially between 10pm - 8am and during arrival and departure at any time throughout the occupancy;
b) Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in termination of permission to occupy the Property, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges for security and other expenses which may be deducted from Security Deposit or
Bond under the Terms and Conditions; and
c) Guests and Visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour and must minimise their impact upon the residential amenity of neighbours and local community.
a) Guests are responsible for ensuring the limits set on Visitor numbers is complied with at all times; and
b) Guests are responsible for ensuring that Visitors comply with these House Rules.
Gatherings or functions
a) The Property is not a “party house" and any such activities are strictly prohibited; and
b) Any gathering, celebration or entertainment permitted at a Property must not conflict with residential amenity and must comply with all the other requirements.
a) Guests and Visitors are to comply with parking regulations and other requirements set out below and show consideration to neighbours and other vehicles; and
b) Parking arrangements at the Property are as follows: On street parking only
Garbage and recycling
a) Guests and Visitors are to dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with the usual practice at the Property (as set out below) in the allocated bins, and excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas; and
b) Garbage and recycling arrangements at the Property are as follows: All rubbish should be placed in the bins, when they are full they should be emptied and the full bags placed in the bins belonging to the property, located on the street
Whenever you are absent from the Property, close all windows and doors to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage.
Smoking is not permitted.
Pets are not permitted.
Damages and breakages
Damages and breakages must be reported to the Manager.
On departure arrangements
Arrangements for keys, security, dishwashing, rubbish, etc are:Key are to be left on the kitchen table. Dishes should be clean or in the dishwasher with the dishwasher running. Rubbish should be in the bins provided. All food, other than that provided by the manager must be placed in the rubbish bin.

a) Breach of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy.
b) The Owner and Manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the Property,
Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance.
