Podere (farm) is an absolutely unique place which lies just on top of the hill facing the Rocca d’Orcia tower and holds a breathtaking view of the vast and poetic senese landscape. An old farm, recently restored so that the neatness of modern architecture blends with the antique in a very powerful final result, the Podere mantains intact all the fascination of a typical Tuscan stone building.
With it’s five different units, transformed in elegant apartments refurbished with antique family furniture, the place has the looks of a small country village. The house is in the middle of a 62 acres farm, which produces bio olive oil with xperimental methods and is surronunded by 25 acres of olive trees fields and a 37 acres woodland. A very fascinating place, it’s the ideal choice to spend quiet holidays, with a strong Nature all around, which makes this hidden spot of Tuscany an authentic paradise.
The Podere is part of the Artistic Natural and Cultural Park of the Orcia Valley ((website hidden)), recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage. A unique landscape, with the soft slopes of its hills and the harshness of its crevices and crests of clay, this territory has been a deep source of inspiration for painters and artists throughout Renaissance.
Rich in pathways and naturalistic routes which permit a large variety of excursions (horseriding, hiking and biking), the Orcia Valley is the perfect place to admire typical Mediterranean flora and fauna ((website hidden)).
At dawn and dusk it’s not rare to spot herds of deers lazily grazing in the fields, solitary foxes, porcupines, pheasants, plus various bird species from the cuckoo to the hunting hawk and the night owl.
Refreshing walks along country roads which skirt through vinyards, fields, woods and rivers are just out of the door. At Podere Perelli You’ll find all the information You may need to explore the area: books, maps, suggestions.

Absolutely beautiful place. Exactly as pictured if not better than the pictures. It was a bit scary getting there because you have to get there via some very narrow streets and dirt roads, but if you plug the GPS coordinates into waze it takes you right to the driveway. If you're a first timer in Tuscany I wouldn't attempt trying to find the place at night. You'll seriously feel like you're lost, even following the GPS. Our host Angela had an emergency and couldn't meet with us when we arrived so we were a bit "lost" on own own when we arrived, but her son let us follow him by car to a fantastic nearby restaurant. We had to leave a day early because of some personal matters, but the place was impeccably clean and really charming. Breakfast was simple but good. Some minor pet peeves which most likely won't bother anyone else: The shower is incredibly tight, plus there's no soap dish. (like I said, minor). Plus the internet is really really bad. Very difficult to connect and when/if it did it was horribly slow. So if you don't mind a tight shower, and slow and/or non existent internet, the place is perfect.
Heaven in Italy. Angela was amazing. Very attentive and gracious. Walked us down to a home cooked meal in a restaurant nearby. Tracked down and drove to get an ear medicine for my wife. This is better than a five star hotel. And besides, the view from the house is spectacular. A site and place for my next film.
Myself and my partner spent 3 nights in the pienza apartment and had a wonderful time. The photos on air b&b really don't do the property justice as the apartments and views are spectacular! The pienza apartment is impeccably detailed and offers privacy and comfort in a stunning setting.
Angela, Olimpia's sister, manages the property and is engaging and friendly and happy to provide recommendations on places to visit and eat.
The surrounding hill top villages provide fantastic day trips.
I definitely recommend staying at the agriturisimo val d'orcia!!
If you want to relax and enjoy a true setback in time, this the place. Wonderful breakfast, beautiful views, spacious rooms and a lovely and very helpful host. All the tips were accurate and Angela made our experience very special.
This space is even more beautiful in real life!
Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Great location.
The full kitchen was great.
Even a crib was provided for our little one.
My husband and I stayed at the Agriturosmo (Pienza Apartment) for the first 3 days of our honeymoon. Everything was more perfect than we could have imagined, and Angela was such a sweet and gracious host. Our apartment was just as pictured and very clean. We even had a patio with a beautiful view of the Castiglione d'Orcia. The location of the Agriturismo is wonderful too, for those who want to visit the Tuscan hill towns. We were a short drive from Montalcino, Montepulciano and Cortona. We loved our stay so much, we are already planning a trip back to Tuscany. When we do come back, we will be sure to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in beautiful Tuscany!
This is a place I truly recommend!
We were 3 adults and 2 children staying for 5 nights. A beautiful and very well equipped apartment with a nice outdoor terrace. Angela, the hostess took very well care of us. She is so discrete and pays attention to details.
The view is breathtaking and it is very close into to the center where there are several good restaurants. Especially Restaurant Perilla Osteria. Fantastic. A must try!!
The apartment has air-condition, except for the third bedroom which should have as well. Not so well equipped, but if we missed anything Angela helped us out with what we needed. The fridge is quite small if you have own groceries.
The swimmingpool is beautiful and enough sun lounges for everyone. We were missing umbrellas. The children found it a bit hot during the day.
You have to have a car to get to this place, but it is not difficult to find on the map.
The breakfast is very simple but nice. But we brought our own stuff as well such as ham and cheese for breakfast. Lovely room to have breakfast in.
We definitely want to come back to this place!
