Sergio is a very friendly host, reactive and very nice!
His flat is like its description : nice, clean, in a very nice residence.
We fully recommand it : Just near the metro Piramide (5min by walk), all you need just near the appartment : supermakets, food shops, restaurants, buses...
Very smart experience in Rome !
The flat was okay, it was within easy walking distance of the metro and a bit farther walk to the sights of Rome. There was a very nice cafe and a wonderful deli just on the next block. As previous reviews state, there is some street noise that may make it difficult to sleep. Even though the lift did not work for most of our stay, and the water did not get hot enough for a relaxing shower after a busy day, the flat met our basic needs. There were three of us, and because of the loft, we all had our own sleeping area.
The shock came after we left. I received a email for Sergio, saying "I am disappointed by your behavior ... as you were with other people getting into the house. You know that after the third guest you have to pay 20 euro extra per night. However, as written in the rules of the house, you should warn in that cases". I found his accusation bazaar and odd. We are three middle aged professional women, who left the men at home for a girls week in Rome. We had absolutely no reason to lie about how many people were staying in the flat. He was also upset because while the checkout time is 1100, we didn't get back to collect our bags until 1130 - after packing, we had gone down the the deli on the corner for food, and it took longer than we expected.
Prior to booking Sergio's flat, I read through his reviews' which were all positive. Also, Sergio was very kind when we arrived and he showed us through the flat. Therefore, I was blown away by his email. Just be aware, there is another side to Sergio.
This was my first time booking with airbnb. They handled the situation in a very prompt and diplomatic manner.
Teresa and her friends have been in my apartment for 5 nights. I asked them to send me a message after landing to better organize the check in and they called me only when they arrived in the house. The neighbors and my mother who lives next door, complained about the noise they made returning late at night. After the stay, as stated in their review, they complained of the lift and shower. If I had been called as I had told them, I would have solved their problems as I always have done with guests. The neighbors and my mother have also seen other people on the stairs, and I allowed myself to ask them for clarification, explaining that the house rules says that you must inform us if you bring other people home. Finally, the day before their departure I wrote them a message reminding that they had to leave the house by 11am as planned. I have never recived an answer and they left home at 12. In quite one year of experience with Arirbnb is the first time that I have a problem with the guests and that I would not recommend them.
My husband and I stayed in Sergio's appartment for four days over New Year's Eve.
The appartment is located very well, directly in front of a bus stop and only 5 minutes walk away from Piramide station. From there, you can reach all the sights and hot spots easily!
Some people here complain about the noise: We slept every well each night and the street is not "supernoisy".
The appartment looks in soem corners a bit "old", but it is nice, we found everything we needed. Everything was very clean and also the shower & the rest of the bathroom was good!
I think the appartment is a perfect choice, when you need a place to sleep and have breakfast, located in central Rome. I think, when you want to spent a lot of time in the appartment (with cooking and hanging out) it is not the perfect choice as it is quiet small and the kitchen is not equipped for cooking large menus ;)
Sergio was a great host; he is a really nice guy and he also gave us some fruit and drinks upon our arrival!
We would book Sergio's appartment again :)
Cosy flat for small family. Handy to bus and trains and historic attractions. Sergio was v helpful and our stay was pleasant.
House is as advertised. Excellent location close to bus stops and short walk to Train and Metro Station. We had 3 adults in the apartment and had sufficient room (one slept in loft and two in bedroom). Sergio was very friendly and left a nice fruit basket and juice for our arrival. I would recommend.
Sergio's flat was amazing! Perfectly located to all the major attractions of Rome, yet outside of the touristy areas. We had a fabulous time, and would definitely contact him again the next time we are in Rome!
Sergio was not around to meet us but his mother who lives next door was very kind and helpful to hand us the house keys. Apartment is centrally located, within walking distance to all the sights especially the Colloseum, Roman Forum, Palatino. We also walked all the way to Vatican City which takes only approx. 30 mins. The apartment faces the main road in a very lively area with restaurants and drinking pubs. We were there over the weekend and naturally it was noisy at night. The apartment is quite comfortable for 3 people. Given the central locality, we will definitely recommend Sergio's apartment if you do not mind the heavy traffic and the noisy conversations from the street which carries up towards the apartment.
The apartment is well situated close to public transportation and easy 20minute walk to Colosseum & Palatine Hill. It is spacious & well lit with large windows plenty of ventilation. Bedroom size is also quite large. Great experience.
We enjoyed staying at Mamma mia! The flat is near the Ostiense train and Piramide train/subway stations (10 min by foot) and has a bus stop just before the door. Ideal to discover Roma.
Sergio could welcome us personally and explained us all about the flat and the neighborhood. Everything was clean and it was just what we needed. A few bakeries, as well as small super markets and restaurants are available nearby. The famous Volpetti (all the italian food you dream to bring back home) is just on the corner and a morning coffee at the next door Barberini is perfect to start the day...
