  • The host was as such nice, and the location ok, but the flat hasn't seen a vacuum cleaner in years.

  • Very nice flat! Gio is very nice man. He meet us on the Central Station and picked to the apt, as we arrive very late.
Very good disposition. Not far from Duomo and Milano Centrale.

  • Really nice place, not far from the station. Gio took time out to explain some different things around Milan, which ended up being very useful. I had the whole place to myself, which was great. It was quiet and clean - so overall, really satisfied.

  • Our experience with the room was quite contradictory.

First the negative things; We were hoping to meet Gio in person at the apartment to help us with check-in, but unfortunately we didn't get the chance. It took us long time to get inside of the apartment (because the door lock was broken and the handle was off), and another guest had to help us with the door. It also wasn't mentioned that we had to share the apartment with other guests and not the host, like we thought at the first, so it was quite confusing. We also didn't get the room in the pictures that we thought we rented - instead our room was rented to someone else and we had to take a different one, which had a broken ceiling fan. Also it promises that there (email hidden) connection, but in the reality there wasn't any.

Positive was the location, there were two metro stations and a lot of restaurants nearby, and that there were maps and instructions left at the table for guests. The whole apartment was ok, though it wasn't very clean and it was kind of messy.

  • Gio is a very worldly and experienced host, he has complete instructions and tips waiting for every guest. His appartment is well located in Milan, easy to reach with public transportation and in striking distance to multiple supermarkets.
I can recommend him to everyone looking for affordable accomodation in a very expensive city.

  • Wonderful place with access to Central station. Didn't see Gio during my stay but he's very nice to treat us wine for the new year. place is clean and well-stocked.

  • tutto ok!! :)

  • I was rather disappointed with the stay in Gio's apartment for a number of reasons.

It was our first time in Italy and we were hoping to meet Gio so he could help us adjust but unfortunately this did not happen. This occurred even though we informed him of our arrival time and not only was he not at the apartment to receive us, he never picked up any of our calls.

On top of that, as the apartment had a security gate, it was impossible to enter without keys, and as we did not have any we had to wait for some residents to come before we could sneak in behind them. This should never be the case in my opinion as not only is it a severe lack of hospitality, it also counts as trespassing, not something one would want to do on their first day in a new country.

The apartment itself was clean, no doubt. But not recommended during the summer months if you are unable to take the heat. This is as the window of the room hardly opens and as Milan is rather hot in the summer, the heat trapped in the room becomes suffocating. There is also a ceiling fan in the room, which works, but is hardly any use as it barely moves any air around. It resulted in my friends and I barely getting any sleep and one even had to shower in the middle of the night due to the heat.

I do hope that this review is constructive and for anyone going to Milan, do make sure you know what you are getting yourself into and prepare yourself if you do intend to stay in this apartment.

I work as an IT engineer, but my job has always left me a lot of free time for other activities. I have traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Central and South America (especially Brazil), visiting 62 different countries. Non smoker, easy going, excellent knowledge of my city. My offers in Milan are surely meant for the no-frills, budget traveler. As a bonus, I can offer you access to many events and opportunities in Milan, to make your stay more... memorable. I work full time, Mon-Fri 9.30-6pm, so in these hours I can respond promtly, but I cannot run home and prepare the room for you.
