My home is located in beautiful Sedona and is located within 5 minutes from hiking and biking trails, shops, restaurants, the local brewery and movie theatre.
The ranch style house has lots of wood and stone and is situated on a large lot with an abundance of flowers, trees, a water fountain and an amazing ecosystem of birds, lizards, squirrels and various critters.
The guest room has a nice pillowtop queen bed with private bath on a separate wing so you will have lots of privacy. I will provide my home made granola and/or muffins or bread and oatmeal along with tea or coffee for your breakfast.
I have 2 big beautiful golden retriever dogs to greet and love on you. I am a long term resident of Sedona (46 years and counting) so have lots of tips about the area.
Since I am a massage therapist, a discount will apply if you receive one of my yummy sessions. Look forward to hearing from you. Blessings!
Good location within sedona, great hikes just down the street, comfortable bed, clean and cozy room and house, awesome home-made granola and banana bread!, Karen and her husband were kind, available, and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
A great place to stay and a wonderful location. Minutes from Sedona and a ten minute walk from canyons, red rock and great views! Besides making us feel very welcome, Karen is also a great source of information of things to do in and around Sedona.
Thanks to Karen and her two wonderful dogs for making us feel welcome and right at home. A highlight of our time in Arizona.
Comfortable bed and quiet room to stay in. I would come back again. Karen gave great tips about what to see in Arizona.
We had a wonderful stay with Karen in her West Sedona home. She is centrally located for all the sights! We had really great hiking, tasty restaurants, and events in the area. We will definately stay here again in the future. We enjoyed the morning breakfast items, the sunny patio and private wing for sleeping and relaxing! This is the best airbnb experience!
My husband and I, along with our golden retriever had a wonderful stay with Karen & Bruce this past weekend (phone number hidden). We appreciated our host Karen's warmth, thoughtfulness, clean house & beautiful backyard. It was a very relaxing stay and I felt immediately comfortable upon arriving. The room was very cozy and it was easy to sleep deep. We were spoiled eating her yummy granola and muffins and soaking up love from her sweet golden retrievers. Her location was great for us as it was nice to stay with a local and away from the tourist traps, but also it was close to so much-restauraunts, hikes, etc. Karen will provide you with a lovely experience.
I'm always travelling. Usually I travel for work, sometimes for a break from work but rarely to just to 'be' with myself. The purpose of my time in Sedona was just that, so deciding to stay in someone's home was in kind of taking a 'risk'.
If you are reading this review it is because you felt somehow drawn to take a closer look at Karen's listing. I did, and making decision from that place rather than what words and photos and 'thinking' through all the information available helped me select this property, and it was the perfect choice.
This is a warm and welcoming home made with love and a sense of genuine caring is immediately noticed on arrival. Caring for people, care for the expertly trained dogs, the beautiful garden - everything!
As a location, Karen's house is accessible to every convenience including shopping, groceries, restaurants, great coffee and entertainment venues, yet is nestled at the foot of Thunder Mountain and with direct access to the Sugar Loaf trails.
I spent 8 days in Sedona and what I experienced at Karen's was a deep level of respect for my needs. My need to be alone at times (without having to ask for privacy), to sit quietly in the garden and enjoy a meal or cup of tea, or to have some company and conversation at times. Everything from having space to unpack and place my things in my very comfortable room and bathroom to having a little space in the refrigerator and use of the kitchen was available. And, when it was time to "do" anything, recommendations would magically appear from a long-term resident of the area of almost 50 years which provided me with local insights and hidden gems answering the 'where to go' and 'what to do' type of questions we all have when travelling.
I also experienced one of the most physically and energetically beneficial massages I have ever had by Karen. There is no doubt she has had the very best of education & training and is a specialist in the treatment, but above that, she has a gift and a deep commitment to your well being,
This is a quiet, peaceful and respectful home. A place that I feel privileged to have spent this precious time away from 'life'. I am glad I listened to my body instead of my mind when deciding where my 'home away from home' in Sedona would be.
Thank you to AirBnB for the invitation to review my experience.
This is truly a special destination. To those on their way....Enjoy your journey!
Great host - she has great knowledge of the area and can answer any questions. House was clean - Bed was great and you have privacy. I recommend!
My friend Cindy and I had an absolutely perfect stay with Karen and Bruce. Their house is lovely and they were such gracious and helpful hosts. They gave us a lists of 'musts' in Sedona so, while our time in Sedona was too short, we saw so much that we would have missed with out their local knowledge. The wonderful Goldens (Zeus and Penelope) were charming, friendly and so affectionate. We had massages by Karen and they were the best we've had. Karen's granola was just delicious. All in all, would recommend this stay without reservation! It was our 1st Airbnb experience and left us with a taste for more. Would certainly return to Karen and Bruce's and will recommend it to others.
I've only had a short stay at Karen's place. But what a wonderful home this is. Private bathroom, a breakfast with her home-made granola is really a treat. I was on my way back home but this place is definitely suitable for a longer stay. She's very friendly and her husband as well. You feel at home as soon as you step into that front door, no when you step into the front yard.
My girlfriend and I stayed for one week at Karen's house and we enjoyed it so much. Karen was very welcoming and gave us advice as to what places to go. The house is greatly located, near shops, restaurants and great hikes. Sedona is just amazing, and staying at Karen's just made the experience even better. The whole house is so nice! Be ready to feel better than at home if you decide to stay at this house.
