Welcome to your home away from home!
You'll have the entire second story to yourself-- a private bedroom with TV/DVD/cable/wifi, a private bathroom, and access to the rest of the house.
The first floor houses the kitchen, dining room that seats 6, and living room with piano, 42" wall-mounted TV, digital cable, DVD player, iPod dock, two sofas, and surround sound.
The second floor houses my guest bedroom (that's you) with TV/cable/DVD, guest bathroom, and a combination office/workout space that leads to the backyard, complete with deck, patio set that seats 4, and charcoal grill.
And then I live on the third floor.
The property has a couple indoor/outdoor cats but they will not have access to your room. I've also got a lab mix rescue named Jack. He's friendly, after about 30 seconds of initial guard dog panic due to the doorbell. ;)
Welcome to Austin!!
You'll have your own bedroom and bathroom, with access to kitchen, dining, living, and laundry rooms, as well as the backyard. Parking on street.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with guests as much or as little as you like. I work a lot, so I may not be home too much during the day, so you'll have a key to get in and out as you please.
You are within two miles of all things super: a Super Wal-Mart, a Super Target, and an HEB super grocery store. You are just ONE block away from Shipley's donuts for breakfast (best kolaches!), a yoga studio with a walk-in rate of just $5/class, and a Cajun restaurant/bar with live music almost every night. You're about 10-15 minutes from downtown, which is a straight shot down MoPac (Loop 1).
For transit into downtown, I'd recommend Austin's two ride-sharing apps Uber and Lyft. I'm about 15 minutes south of downtown.
No smoking or pets of your own. :)
What a find! Claire's house is a beautifully structured, charmingly decorated, welcoming abode that shows a different, more refined side of Austin. Claire herself was inviting and very personable, readying towels and offering driving directions around town.
And the pets! Jimmy the cat is a cuddler and Jack the dog was very chummy. If you're an animal person there won't be want for animal affection. It's there in spades.
I highly recommend staying here anytime you're in Austin. I know I'm looking to return ASAP.
The room was very comfortable and Claire was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Austin and we appreciate the location of the house - no freeways around us!
If we should come back to Austin (hopefully, because we didn't get the chance to check out all Clubs), we surely will try to stay another night at Claire's home.
And all the best to Jack and the cats.
Claire was very inviting and the house was very cozy. Jack is a sweet dog. Didn't have any issues at all and was well worth it, plan to book again, thanks Claire.
Comfortable space and a very inviting home. Claire was very friendly and accommodating, even on short notice. Quiet location and feels very safe.

I live in Austin, a city I love. I have a small social media marketing company in downtown Austin. My dog is Jack, a rescue lab/sharpei mix. I enjoy yoga, food, wine, travel, hiking.
I really like to explore, eat out, walk the town, etc. I often travel alone... in fact, every year for my birthday, I take a solo birthday sabbatical to a place I've never been before. Last year, I picked a 6-square mile volcano in the Netherland Antillies called Saba and hiked until I dropped. Literally dropped. :)
