Alessandro was a great host- very welcoming and helpful.
The room was a great size and it was a nice flat.
Every morning we walked across the bridge and walked into the more beautiful parts of town. We really loved the walk along the river. The tram was also useful to get to the centre of Travestere (which would be a long walk!) Thanks Alessandro for a great stay, we loved Rome!
Douche mag beter: meer water.
Loved staying at Alessandro's place! It was fairly close to all the main tourist attractions and very spacious. Alessandro even waited at the bus drop off location to ensure we found the apartment.
Highly recommend staying here.
We had a late flight and Francesca was nice to meet us at the apartment. The flat is exactly as it is advertised. Has a huge living room with Alessandro's great movie collection, magazines, huge dinner table and a fully equipped kitchen. A long corridor leads to the 3 rooms and the bathroom. The flat is decorated in a "retro" / movie buff style. The flat was clean and the bathroom well equipped. You even get towels with the room which we did not really expect but was definitely a nice surprise. We had no trouble with the noise from the bars across the river, but if you have trouble with sleeping, bring your earplugs because the noise can quite big during the night and in the early morning when the garbage trucks empty the trash. Many types of public transport is available in the close vicinity, but the main tourist attractions can be reached in 30 mins on foot. There is a supermarket on the other side of the block and a great cafe just around the corner. Alessandro was very helpful, we could leave our luggages in the flat the afternoon of our last day. There was some problem with the hot water pressure and the wifi was exceptionally slow time to time, but we had a nice time! Ciao!
Having a cup of espresso on the sunny balcony which you reach through your spacious bedroom...priceless!
Alessandro is a great host: calm, interested and generally a very warm person who will know the answer to your Rome questions or will find out in a heartbeat. He does his utmost best to make you feel at home and that is what he did for my girlfriend and I.
From the apartment it is just a ten minute (slow) walk to the tram that takes you into the city center. If you want to browse about the neighbourhood: Trastevere and Testaccio hold genuine Italian markets and trattorias.
The noise across the water in the weekend was not a nuisance to us.
Would recommend this place very much!
It was very nice staying over at Alessandro's. The room was large and I loved that you can open the doors to the balcony. The bathroom was right next to the room and worked okay after some initial hiccups with warm water. Alessandro was very quick in responding to email and made me feel welcome in his place. The location was good and easy to reach, with several public transport options. Make sure to ask Alessandro for tips on where to go for dinner as he is very knowledgeable :-)
We have been looked after very well..ricardo, Alessandro s friend was enough to pick us up from the bus, the flat was very clean and the beddings very confortable.
Alessandro's apartment was amazing and the room itself was very spacious and extremely clean, I loved the balcony with a view of the river across the road, really nice to sit out there at night. I sadly never got a chance to meet Alessandro however his friend Francesca met me out the front of the apartment building and she was quick with texts messages to let me know where I needed to go. The apartment was in a fantastic location, with Trastevere Station no more than a couple of minutes away. Public transport is very accessible to head into central Rome if required, however if you enjoy walking it is a far better experience with all of the major attractions within about a 4-5km walk. There was a number of really nice restaurants and cafes in the area and if you like heading out for a drink and to party the night life was epic! I really want to head back to Rome at some stage and Alessandro's place will be the first place I look at staying!
It was a very clean and nice apartment per se, I liked it the minute I entered the living room. A very nice girl greeted me at the entrance and told me everything a traveler needs to know about Rome. The only two issues are the noise in the evening, and during my stay the warm water didn't work as it should, but I'm sure it will be fixed!
