Dean Lodge was a real find. Absolutely ideal if you are looking to relax in the peace and quiet yet close to so many great places to eat and visit. We felt so welcome in Mark's family home, and he really is a wonderful host; nothing was too much trouble. Our only regret was not having a few more days, but we will be back to catch up on all the news in Swallowcliffe.
The breakfast was prepared and cooked by Mark in the wonderful open plan living space, and Mark's choice of local produce makes a superb start to the day. Our room had everything we needed, and more. Fresh milk, coffee and cake every day, not a sachet in sight!

About the Host, Mark
I have lived in Swallowcliffe for 3 years with my wife Sue and our two dogs Boomer and Luna. We have two sons in their twenties, Danny lives in London and Luke in Dubai. I have been in the music business for many years both as a trumpet player and composer although I took time out to project manage the building of the house. My hobbies include, golf, cycling and cookery. I do most of the cooking and my breakfast speciality is smoked haddock rosti with poached eggs. People tell me that I'm a very sociable person and one of the nicest compliments we receive from our guests is that they feel very welcome and relaxed in our home. My life motto is "Always look on the bright side of life"
