Studio 8B has a Modern Colonial theme. This studio surfaces 17m2 / 183 square feet. And is equipped with Security windows/ doors, 4-poster French Queen size bed, Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, water heater, and kitchen utensils. This studio lies in a little village of which the owners family have been living in for more than 300 years - The Keys. For years this village is undergoing renovations carried out by the owners and family members.

The space

Set into the Sint Maarten country hillsides my home is in walking distance just across the Great Salt Pond and from sweeping ocean sands. I am a 7 minute scenic drive (15 minutes walk) to the quaint streets of Philipsburg, Capital City. And I am also an 8 minute scenic drive from the French side (Saint Martin). Surrounded by green hills but with a view of Philipsburg at my place you can experience the local living among the Caribbean people. My place lies in a residential area called The Keys where tranquility is paramount. For sure you will not experience the heavy traffic of city and or beach goers. You have the choice to walk, cycle or drive to the city.

Guests can arrange to stay in my studio apartment (20m2 / 215 sq.ft) which is equipped for 2 persons. A 3rd person can fit - preferably a small child.
My studio is equipped with:
- Hurricane shutter, security windows and doors
- Queen size bed and extra single fold-able
- Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, water heater, and kitchen utensils (mind you there is no stove! Only upon special request we provide an electrical 1-2 pit stove )
- Closet, iron board & iron, hair blow-dryer
- Bathroom, toilet, warm water boiler
- Ventilator/AC
- Free WiFi (wireless internet),

For those who love to cycle I have "Miami beach-bicycles" which can also be rented for the period of your stay.
At my property I grow herbs, vegetables, and fruit in my garden. Soon I will breed my own fish through putting an aquaponic system in place. Visit me and I’ll love to show you around and assist you with discovering St. Maarten DWI/ Saint Martin. For sure you will enjoy this beautiful Caribbean gem!

Check In
Cee lives onsite and was available to us, if needed. The apartment is very clean, with a comfortable bed, and the basic kitchen items. If you don't have a car, ask Cee about the "gypsy" transportation. We enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful beautiful location. Of the beaten path yet close enough to all Sint Maarten has to offer. Cee the host truly has put his heart in this venue and does a great job taking care of it. He'll arrange for a driver if you need it. I made good use of this service at a great price. Julian the driver deserves special mention for his lovely talks and knowledge. If you want to get the hell away from touristy places then don't hestitate booking this gem. The mountain scenery is stunning. The studio ever so cutely decorated. I'll be back again.

Thank you again for the wonderful words. You absolutely put a smile on Julian's face! He thanks you as well for the great company you are. And it sure was an adventure when looking for that villa in Oyster Bay..hahaha.

I arrived on Saturday. There was a BBQ offered that day. Then, it was nice meeting with other visitors and volunteers from many countries.

We had a wonderful stay at Vicky's Keys! Far exceeded our expectations, great rooms and a fantastic (and inexpensive) breakfast. Definitely check out the rooftop lounge area for some stargazing in the evenings. It is a bit of a walk into Phillipsburg (about 15 min), but we enjoyed the stroll through the local neighborhood. You can get a cab very easily, if you don't want to walk. Just ask Cee to set you up with a ride!

Cee and Pat and Julian at Vickys keys made me feel like family in the Caribbean. They were all sweet and welcoming. I thank them so much for making this trip fun, inviting, and wonderful! My studio was clean, fresh, and just the right size for what I needed. They have local plants and fruits growing in their garden. Cee's breakfasts are great. I had a great conversation with everyone I met at the Keys and found it to be like my "mini resort away from the resorts" where I could have peace and quiet, be away from the tourists, and spend time with the locals. Definitely recommend Vickys Keys to anyone looking for a more local experience.

Thank you Layla! We will remain your Caribbean family on condition that you keep in touch from time to time hahaha.. And when you have time to visit us again, I could surely use your artistic skills on The Keys Market (our soon to be opened local market at our village) : )) Take care! Cee

Cee and Patricia were really friendly to us. For example, we needed some extra equipment for cooking which was provided on our request. The studio self is simple but cozy and met our expectations. Direct neighborhood is quiet and simple. However, we could reach touristic interesting places by rented car in 15 or 20 minutes. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Thanks for the feedback Martin! Will for sure make some more pictures of the studio during my next round.
