Boverie Gate is located in a town house, along the water canal named Derivation (the river Meuse is behind the block too). The accommodation is easily accessible by public transport and it provides direct connections to all motorways.
Every Sunday, the famous "Batte" market is set up accross the river, stretching over a mile. the Batte market is the oldest market from Belgium. It attract crowds of all classes and nationalities. One can purchase food products, plants, tools, birds, textiles, books, records, all sorts of gadgets, toys and sweets.
The penthouse is a lovely house. It's easily located once you reach the street, and accessible by bus and within reasonable walking distance from the city centre. Although there are quite a few flights of stairs to reach the 3rd floor (where the penthouse is), it is well worth the walk with a lovely house, complete with a bath and all. Wifi worked excellently, we cooked ourselves dinner and the provisions were more than adequate for 4, though the sink was a little slow in draining water. Both beds are upstairs, but given the staircase and weight luggages probably can't realistically be moved upstairs, though this caused us no problems. There is a lack of railings on both sides of the loft, so we had to be careful not to fall off. The bathroom and shower-room were both fully equiped, although the shower lacked a faucet and a holder for the shower--head so we had to choose between a volcano of water and holding the shower-head manually.
These are literally the only issues we had, it is a beautiful apartment and we would be happy to return.
I was at St Gangulphe Penthouse during my stay (and not Boverie Gate Penthouse). St Gangulphe Penthouse was very clean, very well furnished, and everything was great.
Smartflats flats are very good and I'm very happy with the staf that was very flexible, and understanding !

Attention toutefois si vous venez avec des enfants en bas âges, il n'est pas adapté (pas de rambarde).
We had a perfect weekend at Boverie Gate. Excellent position, very close to the centre, we did everything by foot. The appartment was perfect, very stilish and comfortable!
