Everything about this place was exactly as described... No surprises!
The rooms were spacious, well furnished and very clean.
Peter was the perfect host ... Met us on arrival... Refreshments in the fridge.... And a very complete written summary of local attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. While time considerations did not permit a complete review of all of Peter's recommendations,Millie's for breakfast is not to be missed!!
On street parking in this neighborhood is limited and the on site parking space provided is a welcome benefit.
we would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
What a fantastic stay! I so appreciate the wine and beer hahaha. It is a beautiful place in a beautiful neighborhood. Easy enough to get around. I will say I am used to staying in Weho and Silverlake is farther away from different parts of the city, however that said it was a gorgeous perfect stay and I loved everything about the apartment.
Peter was a very low-key, respectful host. He welcomed us upon arrival and then let us do our own thing undisturbed. There was coffee, wine, and beer in the fridge waiting for us, and a long list of recommended neighborhood spots (which we definitely used and appreciated). The apartment was clean and tidy and overall just perfect for our stay. We especially loved being able to relax in the courtyard patio area and in the hot tub--a huge plus after being out walking LA streets all day. The off-street parking at Peter's place was also perfect and took a huge amount of stress off. The apartment is located the perfect walking distance from shops and restaurants on Sunset, and we loved being so centrally located but also removed from the noise.
The neighborhood is great, with everything you need (including some *really* good restaurants) close by, and everything else readily accessible. We walked and used public transportation, but the parking space included is a real perk if you have a car. The place was as described/pictured - nicely decorated, ample media (full book shelf, Pandora, Netflix), also clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The deck was an oasis, and the surrounding landscaping beautiful, with lots of humming birds and butterflies; we spent a lot of our time just relaxing there. Peter was a terrific host - I can't emphasize this enough. He left written information to make things easy, responded to our needs/questions quickly, was very friendly, relaxed, inviting, yet in no way intrusive. He really went above and beyond to be helpful to us. This was our first airbnb experience; the bar has been set high!
No unexpected disappointments -- the bungalow was cute, with a lot of character, great outdoor patio for sunbathing and hanging out and was perfectly located in a cool and well stocked Silver Lake hood.
Peter was a great host and was there if you need him, but not in your way if you don't.
