Mullumbimby has grown into the Byron of old. It is a very eclectic town with an artistic community that caters for all walks of life from yoga, meditation, dance, galleries to local music. On a rainy day the outdoor Kiva day spa is amazing all within a 5 minute walk from my house.
A 5 minute dive to the beaches of Brunswick Heads and 15 minutes to Byron or Bangalow, 35min to the Gold Coast Airport and only a 15min bus ride to Yelgun (Splendour & The Falls festival) and 5min to the Blues Fest.

Enjoy the house and all its pleasures including the vegie garden, treat it like your own and be considerate of the neighbours.
The property was exactly as described and ideal for our needs. It's lovely and spacious, and full of character. Everything was clean and fully functioning. Our host Adrian provided excellent support and communication which helped make sure that our stay was enjoyable and stress-free. Thanks for having us!
We had a great time in Mullumbimby and the public areas of the house were terrific - exactly as shown, chill, beautiful, easy to share. We didn't actually cook as such, but had breakfast every morning on the table outside and watched the resident lizard do his thing.
The bedrooms weren't bad but they weren't terrific - there were no reading lamps in any of the rooms, and no convenient plugs for recharging phones to act as clocks. However, we were there to be out and about, and didn't let that bother us too much.
The TV was covered by a towel which I took to mean don't use, again, we weren't there much and didn't need it.
The location was fabulous, a 7 minute walk to the shops, quiet, beautiful.
I’m glad to hear your first AIRBNB experience was a positive one - enjoying my home, the local area and discovering the way people live on the other side of the world.
The ‘towel’ you refer to is actually a beautiful 1960s fabric that I hang over the screen when not in use, so the TV itself doesn’t become the showpiece in the lounge room. All of the bedrooms are Australian sized and all have power points perhaps not just within arms reach when laying in bed, next time you are more than welcome to use the 2 lamps in the living room as reading lights as most do.
I hope I was able to make up for what seems like a couple of idiosyncrasies, with my personal recommendations for eating and getting around town.
Our family spent our Easter break at Adrian's wonderful house. It was beautifully presented, clean and perfect for our needs. Mullum township is within handy waking distance and the Blues festival (the focus of our visit) was just a few minutes drive away. Unfortunately we didn't meet Adrian as he was away however we had regular electronic contact and he left us with some great suggestions for restaurants / cafes and things to do. Adrian has a beautiful home with a lovely garden and lots of wildlife. Thanks Adrian!!
This was a lovely place to stay in. Adrian was a responsive and discrete host. He gave some fabulous recommendations for local places to eat. The home easily accommodated two couples and a 7 year old. Easy kitchen to use and plenty of space for all. It's really clean and very attractively renovated. A fascinating surprise that opens out as you come In from the street. Great deck for sitting in and a very easy drive to the beach. Mullumbimby is a great town to walk around. We enjoyed ourselves. Thanks.
Adrian's place is lovely. Laid back town and a laid back house- kind of a beach house feel but not AT the beach (but really very close to one)!- light, open and airy with a great back yard and GREAT kale!
Communication with Adrian was easy and he made our check-in and check-out very smooth. Thanks!
Adrian was easy to contact, checked our progress on arrival and ensured we comfortable during our stay. Located in town with easy access to amenities.
Good living area which opens to a great deck and outside area.
Spent 6 days at the house over Easter. Great house with awesome deck overlooking garden. Equipped with everything we needed and spotless. A short walk into town. Adrian very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
