Just two blocks from the French Quarter and 0.7 miles from the busy parts of Bourbon, Royal, Decatur and Frenchmen Sts, less than a mile from Jackson Square, and a walkable 1.4 miles to the Jazz Fest Fairgrounds: you will walk everywhere! (Plenty of free on-street parking in our neighborhood.)

Right between the African American Cultural Museum and St. Augustine's Church, our tree-lined block is older than the city itself, having been part of the original Native American portage road that linked the River to the Bayou.
The quaint beauty of our block has been captured in the HBO series, Treme.

All the best live music and bars are within a short walk of our home. The perfect distance for accessing night life and restaurants, but the relaxation of a lovely, historic neighborhood.

Frequent Second Lines and Mardi Gras Indian processions in the area.

Come for a weekend or come for a month!

This spacious (1100sqft) furnished apartment part of a shotgun double in a historic 1870's house (our family lives in the other part) has a full kitchen, two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, a washer and dryer and a huge living room/ dining room with two full size sleeper sofas.

It was really a great stay! Gregory was responsive to our needs (asked for an iron and he brought us one quickly. The place was good for what we needed - we were only there to really sleep and get ready. It was about a $30 ride to the airport and $8 to Bourban and Frenchman which we took often. The only downside was there was 1 bathroom which was on us because we chose that! I definitely recommend this place.

Gregory was very accommodating on letting us check in a little early. Location is close and easy to get to all the places to have fun.

My friends and I loved staying at this place in my absolute favorite neighborhood of New Orleans, with one big caveat. There is a huge cleaning fee per night, which was even more than the price of the rental itself when we stayed there. This is essentially a trick to get the place to pop up when you set your price while searching, but it's actually much more. The apartment was not very clean. For that much money I would expect it to be spotless, but obviously the money is being pocketed and the apartment is just advertised for cheaper than what you are actually paying. All that being said, the location was perfect, checking in and out was fine, parking on the street was easy, and we had no issues. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. There were dishes for groceries. This isn't luxury, but was a good affordable place in the best neighborhood walkable to everywhere touristy and cool. Even though it was a great place, I probably wouldn't stay there again because the cleaning fee is more than the advertised price per night. You have so many options in Nola and even Treme specifically that I would rather pay more up front than in a hidden cleaning fee. We didn't have any insect issues, but the floors were dirty, the bathroom smelled funky, and when I wiped the bathroom sink with a white towel it was dirty. I am not the type to complain about these things normally and would not even mention them if it was not for that big cleaning fee.

The location is the best part of this place. We were able to walk everywhere from the house and not worry about driving and finding parking. The accommodations were simple bordering on spartan. The beds were super comfortable but the pullouts were a bit rough. If you're just looking for a home base to crash at night before going out and adventuring during the day then this place is perfect.

This apartment is in a wonderful location. We walked nearly everywhere and if not, it was an inexpensive Uber ride away. The linens, bed and floors were clean, but the walls, cabinets, doors, couches and shower were not. It meets all the basic expectations of a rental, plus a little more, but it lacks the a comforting home-like feel. For the value though, this place would be just fine for many people.

My wife and I have finally settled down, buying our first house in New Orleans after having lived and studied in San Francisco, Jackson MS and New Jersey since college. We absolutely love this city, and feel that it is the current American Bohemia, vibrant with art, music and creativity at every corner.
