Just two blocks from the French Quarter and 0.7 miles from the busy parts of Bourbon, Royal, Decatur and Frenchmen Sts, less than a mile from Jackson Square, and a walkable 1.4 miles to the Jazz Fest Fairgrounds: you will walk everywhere! (Plenty of free on-street parking in our neighborhood.)
Right between the African American Cultural Museum and St. Augustine's Church, our tree-lined block is older than the city itself, having been part of the original Native American portage road that linked the River to the Bayou.
The quaint beauty of our block has been captured in the HBO series, Treme, as DJ Davis's locale, with occasional on-site filming including 'his' house and those of his neighbors.
All the best live music and bars are within a short walk of our home. The perfect distance, we think, for convenience to all the parties, but the relaxation of the oldest integrated residential neighborhood in the country.
And history lives on throughout the year, with frequent Second Lines and Mardi Gras Indian processions on our block.
Come for a weekend or come for a month!

Eight friends and I stayed at both of Greg's places for a bachelor party and had a great time. The places were spacious enough and had plenty of places to sleep comfortably. You probably wouldn't want to plan to spend too much time at the place because it does lack some basic amenities ((website hidden) and microwave), but for the bachelor party it was perfect. The area felt very safe as well, and we had no problem getting to the French quarter, which is about a 15 minute walk away. All in all it was a great stay.
Gregory was an excellent host. He was very quick to respond to text messages. He left a couple of copies of keys on the table. We had everything we needed. Overall great experience.
4 of us stayed here and had a great time! Apt. was exactly as described plenty of room for all of us. The main thing we liked is that it was within walking distance to everything!
Greg was always available by SMS. Apartment was spacious and tidy, with all the basics provided, including Wifi, and, surprise, frozen butter (I don't know if this is policy, but it was very convenient!). Greg directed us to safe parking and provided dining and tour suggestions (loved nearby Buffa's). Neighborhood is experiencing much upgrading, and we had no problems of any sort. Huge living room with two sofa-beds gave space to decompress and socialize. Very good value.
Gregory's place was great! All the pictures were accurate to the space and the kitchen was well equipped. He provided a great resource guide to local places that were within walking distance. The best thing about this location is you could walk 15-30 minutes to everything you would want to see (Bourbon, Café Du Monde, etc.) You can also walk two minutes and hop on the local bus if you don't want to walk. I stayed here with a group of girls and we walked everywhere and felt completely safe. 10/10 would recommend for your stay in New Orleans
The place was nice. Walking distance from lots of great spots in the French quarter. So we didn't have to spend lots of money on cabs. I will definitely recommend this spot too friends.
My friends and I really enjoyed staying here. Gregory had a few resources on the table and on the fridge to help make our stay better, including a map of a small walking tour of the French Quarter and lists of local places to eat and buy any groceries/necessities we needed. The place was clean and had plenty of towels available. We liked the feel of the apartment and neighborhood and never had any trouble finding a parking space on the street nearby.

My wife and I have finally settled down, buying our first house in New Orleans after having lived and studied in San Francisco, Jackson MS and New Jersey since college. We absolutely love this city, and feel that it is the current American Bohemia, vibrant with art, music and creativity at every corner.
