The property sleeps up to four guests, and features a balcony, and two double bedrooms.
The large living area has been lovingly decorated with eclectic furniture and exotic artwork, and is perfect for relaxing in after a long day’s sightseeing and exploring Edinburgh. If you fancy a night in why not put your feet up with a good book or DVD, and rustle up some of your own culinary treats in the well-equipped kitchen. The owner of this property has thought of everything, and so this really is a home away from home with everything from ladles to the latest blockbuster.
The master bedroom is lovely and light, with a double bed and lots of guest storage space. The second bedroom features a day bed that can be used as a double or single bed, or you can use one of the mattresses separately in a twin configuration. A family bathroom with shower over bath completes this delightful accommodation.
To the front of the property is a balcony area, small but perfectly formed to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of chilled Pinot Grigio on a bamly summer’s evening. Or why not enjoy a barbeque and watch your little ones play in the square below?
In terms of location, you really couldn’t ask for more. The Royal Mile and Cowgate both have direct entrances to Tron Square, and so you can be at Edinburgh Castle, The Grassmarket, Holyrood and Arthur’s Seat in just a few minutes on foot. Edinburgh Waverley train station is less than ten minutes walk away, and plenty of buses run from South Bridge (just around the corner) to all over the City.
The building itself dates from around 1900, and was originally tiered housing for local workmen. At the time it was a modern accomplishment, and one of the first of its kind to use deck access.
This property is best suited to families, or considerate groups. Hen, stag or party groups should not book and will not be given access to the apartment.
A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.
Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of 15 pounds for unsociable hours and arrivals after 10pm will incur a fee of £25. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.
The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.
A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.
All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.
Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.
Check in is from 4pm, and check out is before 11am.
