Lots of Aloha, Peace and Comfort

House - Private room · Ala Noe Place, Honolulu, HI 96819, United States

The Space

Are you looking for a home away from home? I have a peaceful, clean and comfy room. You have lots of window and a glass sliding door to come and go as you please. Just outside your room is a lanai with table and chairs and 2 lounge chairs for eating or relaxing. Take a walk to our beautiful park just 2 blocks away and hike into a forest where endangered Hawaiian birds live. The temperature is 5-10 degrees cooler than town. You can keep up with the news and your favorite shows with a flat screen TV or connect your laptop to our wireless internet or just catch up on the sleep you've been needing. People say I have the most comfortable mattress ever! Come try it out!
There is a separate refrigerator on the lanai with washer and dryer available for $5 a load. Microwave and coffee maker available. Sorry, no kitchen/cooking facilities. BBQ available on request.
This is a safe and peaceful neighborhood and just right for business person or vacationer that doesn't want the noisy atmosphere of Waikiki or Downtown. It is a perfect spot to head to any other part of the island. Close to freeways to town, Pearl Harbor, West side, Windward side and Airport. Plenty of FREE parking!
This is a non smoking, drinking or drugs residence. This is a room for responsible single or married couple. Thank you for your "kokua" (consideration).
Pick up/drop off to airport is available for $10 each way. Please make arrangements with me ahead of time.

Guest Access

Guests have access to private door to enter and exit as needed. Microwave, Full Sized Refrigerator, Washer/Dryer. Private bathroom upon request.

Interaction with Guests

Christian and I love to meet new people, but we are sensitive to each person's needs. Some need privacy, others like to talk and be part of our family. We are absolutely fine with either.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is very safe and on the older side. Many lights are out by 9 p.m. except for ours. LOL!
We respect our neighbors and guests and hope that you will choose us because you enjoy the same.

Getting around

I always suggest a rental car to get around freely, however there is a bus system that can accommodate depending on your need. LMK if you need information

Other Things to Note

Children are welcome with exceptions. Our dogs are very friendly, but children should be "dog" friendly. Also, for toddlers, please ask about safety.

  • My stay was peaceful and comfortable. Kathy and Christian go out of their way to make sure their guests feel welcomed. My 5 day stay was excellent. I couldn't pick a better place to stay for my business trip.

  • Staying with Kathy and Christian was absolutely wonderful. I could not have chosen a better host for my stay, and got to know the area a lot better thanks to Christian, who even took me spearfishing! Very comfortable room and bed, Coconut and Lady (the two dogs) were the friendliest dogs ever, and Kathy even made pasta so I could recover faster from my race. The best experience!

  • Great room in the main house, with a nice little back yard seating area.

  • Quiet neighborhood. Gracious hosts. Nice friendly canines. One needs to have a car or other means of transportation to effectively use this location, so keep that in mind.

  • My husband had surgery on Wednesday and we spent the next five days at Lots of Aloha, Peace and Comfort. It was the best decision we could have made. The aloha, peace and comfort we experienced helped make his recovery swift and enduring. Thank you Kathy and Christian, for sharing your home and God's love.

  • I stayed at Kathy's place for my final night in Honolulu after a great two weeks on the islands.

Arriving at around 4 pm, I had a dinner engagement in town and so was only there for about an hour prior to departing. I returned around 10 pm and had to leave at about 4:30 am the following morning to catch a flight back to Australia ie it was a very fleeting visit !!

What can I say about the place having been there for such a short period of time ? - at our brief meeting I found Kathy to be a very warm, caring person and the room in which I stayed was very well set up and really comfortable. I wish I'd had time to explore the surrounds which looked interesting but this will have to be next time.

For those who are flying in or out of HNL (particularly at peak times) Kathy's place is very well situated given the very heavy traffic that Honolulu seems to have these days.

  • I stayed with Kathy for one night after spending a week on the island of Hawaii on my way to AUS. The whole experience was perfect. From the time Kathy picked me up from the airport, I felt like I was meeting an old friend...she is friendly, kind and very (email hidden)e even stopped so that I could pick up some dinner on the way to her home! The room was comfy and relaxing, I was able to do laundry and regroup for the next leg of my journey. Her dogs are great too!

  • Kathy and her son Christian are great hosts. They made us feel very comfortable and gave us helpful advises for our tours. The room with comfortable bed was clean and peaceful. • Kathy was a fantastic host. She made us feel very comfortable. She helped us getting to her house by picking us up at the bus and then she took us with her and Christian to downtown Honolulu. Her house is a bit far from the main road, we like to walk so it was fine for us but most people would need a car. She also was very gracious and took us to the airport for a small fee. Thank you, Kathy.

About
I am blessed to have a nice home in the beautiful and peaceful valley of Moanalua. It is just 10 minutes from the airport. Also, close to town, west side and windward side. My children are grown, but my son lives at home. He is a very kind person and loves visitors as I do also. I have 2 friendly, sweet dogs that are like my kids! I can't live without my dogs, my church, friends, my cell phone and my convertible mini cooper that makes me feel young again! I love good movies, yoga, my garden, eating healthy and visiting my daughter and granddaughter in Las Vegas. I also like to watch reality shows like X Factor, Undercover Boss, So You Think You Can Dance, etc. I have been a tourist and a visitor and my heart is to make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable and help make their stay a pleasant and warm experience with Lots of Aloha!
