Ciao! My name is Tommy and I have lived in Rome all my life, well, I have also lived in N.Y. and Madrid, but Rome has been calling me back through out the years... I hope you will come visit this amazing city and get lost in a once-in-a-lifetime urban adventure you will never forget! I will be happy to accommodate you and make your stay comfortable; and above all, make you feel like a true Roman!
All my apartments in this building have WIFI, washing machine, plasma T.V., fresh towels & linens.
This building is in the centre of Rome, the real centre, Julius Caesar died in the Theater of Pompey, just 200 meters from this place! So forget about cabs, busses or traffic! Walk everywhere from here, just like Julius did 2000 years ago. Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, Vatican City and more attractions of the Ethernal City are within a 3-30 min walk. As you can see on the map, we are between Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori.
Note that you are in the centre of Rome (not Trastevere, not Spanish Steps... the true centre)! I am happy to give you my advice to help you discover beautiful Rome: tourist guides, maps and a copy of the daily routes to visit the eternal city.
This charming apartment is set on the second floor of an ancient palazzo. It is located in the heart of the historical side of campo dei fiori (Rome) right over the ruins of the Theatre of Pompey, surrounded by cobblestone streets, typical restaurants, bars and open markets. The ancient style of the building gives the place a magical and medieval atmosphere. Studio Violetta is the perfect match between modern style and cozy atmosphere: it has been recently renovated and it has all the comfort amenities for a perfect staying. The combined living/dinning area has a 22 in. plasma T.V, while the nice and functional kitchenette is fully equipped to prepare snacks or even full meals. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The little square is peaceful and you will experience no traffic noise, however you will be well connected to all great attractions of the centre of Rome. 3 nights minimun stay.

  • Hi you all,
First of all the location of this apartment is great. specially if you want to be in a walking distance from every major site in Rome. and it is in a good size for a couple.
we loved staying at Tommy's apartment. Tommy was awesome & a great host! he sent us E-mail with a lot of useful information about interesting attractions, restaurants etc. and left a guide book of the city. he was also responsive to SMS all day to assist with Q&A's.
The only (really Small) problem is that hot water in the shower are available for not more than 5 minuets. and for the next shower you have to wait another 15-20 minuets till the water will be hot again. but it is not so much of an issue. Big Like! 5 Stars from us. Ciao...

  • The location of this apartment is great if you want to walk to every major site. It is in the heart of Rome and is sufficient for sleeping. Our host met us at the bus stop and let us check in early. This was very convenient. The apartment was clean and secure.

  • Because we relied heavily on reviews to plan our trip, I think it is important to be honest about our stay. Once we booked the place in Rome with Tommy, we got no responses from him at all. We sent him a message with a few questions and got a one word response, days later, that didn't answer our questions. Then before our stay we got an email from one of his friends saying she would be letting us in, which is fine, but I think that he should of let us know he would be giving our contact information to someone else and contacted us to let us know he wouldn't be there. The address listed was incorrect so the cab driver took us to the wrong place and we had to use international calling data on our phones to call his contact to figure out where to go. Once we arrived the place was not nearly as nice as depicted in the pictures. The internet was not working, but his friend came and fixed that in the evening. The hot water ran out after less than a 5 minute shower, and the power continunally went out when we were trying to get ready. We emailed Tommy about this and his response was that Rome is an old city and there really isn't much you can do. We obviously understand that the electric and plumbing is not new, but feel these are items that should have been brought to our attention. The overall cleanliness of the place was lacking as well, and there were actually gross stains on the comforter for the bed. We made the best of our stay, and the location is great, but unfortunately it just wasn't what we had expected.

  • We loved staying at Tommy's apartment. Tommy was awesome & a great host! The apartment is a good size & in a PERFECT neighborhood. Vatican, Colosseum, & Borghese are all 20-30 minutes walking distance so we never had to take a cab. There are a ton of restaurants & bars that are within 2 minutes walking distance. Tommy gave us a handful of recommendations for dinner/lunch & not ignore these!! All 3 places we had dinner were amazing....I had the best gnocchi of my life! The bakery by the apartment has awesome pizza. We liked it so much we ate it at 9:30am on the day we left Rome! I would definitely recommend Tommy's place. He made our first trip to Italy very memorable.

  • Great location. If you want to be in the heart of the old town, this is the place. Right outside the door to the flat is a fantastic seafood restaurant, Pece Fritti.

  • This studio apartment is in a fabulous location for Rome. Literally around the corner from a bustling Campo d'Fiori, a short walk from the bridge to Trestavere, 5 minute walk to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon - the location is ideal. So many restaurant choices nearby - we stumbled upon Trattoria Der Pallaro which is literally around the corner -it's a set menu of whatever 'Mama' feels like making and we highly recommend - amazing and not expensive. We also loved that there is a supermarket not two minutes away so we could get some water and other snacks. The studio apartment itself was great for my husband and I. It's a small space but we liked having the small kitchenette - we cooked one night after visiting the morning market at Campo d' Fiori. The bathroom is definitely small but doable - be careful of the shower water getting on the floor! Oh and I appreciated the hairdryer. We also appreciated the two fans since it did get warm in the hot humid weather while we were there. Since the apartment is street facing, it definitely was loud in the morning with the locals going about their day so I recommend bringing some ear plugs if you want to sleep in. And and take Tommy up on his offer of getting a car to pick you up - it was a breeze to walk out and see our name with a driver. It cost 10 euro more than a taxi and he was able to call Tommy directly and let him know we we had arrived. Great place - we recommend!

The apart has everything that you need. Really well equipped and clean. Tommy is a great host also. He recommend us places to eat and drink, the places are really good.
If we could get a chance to stay in Rome, we'll certainly prefer Tommy's aparts.

  • Tommy is a great host. He goes out of his way to make sure his guests are comfortable. He personally checked me in and gave me a complete tour of the area, and recommended some great places to visit/dine at. The apartment is centrally located and walking distance to everywhere. Campo de Fiori is a nice, hip neighbourhood with a good mix of tourists and locals. The apartment is a bit small but was perfect for one person. Well equipped. Comfortable bed.

I've been called by the guys of Airbnb because my profile description was too short so here I'm , writing something about myself wich I hate more.. I'm traveller like you guys,! when I have some Euros left in my bank account I just grab the first ticket and I go! I think there is nothing more that share experience between humans when they are travelling... we all need to travel, we are modern nomads looking for emotions and for that we.... "Need to go faraway" ( that was my original, short description! Hope to meet you in Rome
