The apartment is located in the heart of Ancient Rome.
Walking you can reach all the monuments without taking bus or taxi.
The mix of an Imperial Roman location in a 1510 building, this charming 40 sq.mts.
Apartment on two floors offers an insight of Roman life, unknown to most with a double entrance (one directly from the street and one through the orange garden), Bucimazza 32 is ideal for a couple but comfortable and practical to accomodate up to 4 people (ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids, as 1 master bdr upstairs and 2 twin beds in the living space, mind no separation btw floors).
The apartment is located in a 1510 medieval complex, home up to late 1800s of the Corporazione dei Fabbri (or Blacksmith Corporation), as testified by an historical marble tile over the street entrance.
The interiors were recently renovated and furnished with a few design pieces, superior lightning and amenities.
Tourist tax of 2 € per person per night.
So the best thing about this apartment is its location and your host Egidio. You truly can walk to many important and fun sites from the apartment. It is directly west of the coliseum as the crow flies, in a small little residential enclave surrounded by Roman ruins. Buses, which are the main transportation for places too far to walk to, are a two minute walk down the hill- very convenient. The apartment is small, the kitchen is tiny, but works just fine for limited cooking. This place works well for 2 people and maybe one child, as it is compact. It is not a decorators delight, but we spent very little time there. What was nice was being able to stop by in the middle of the day for a short rest because of the excellent location. Egidio is very obliging and responds very promptly to any and all concerns, or questions (we used e-mail) He will arrange a great driver at competitive rates, to pick you up if you need that service. So if you don't need a place to stay, and like to have kitchen facilities and a great location, this is the place for you.
We loved this place. There is a lot of monuments of history near the apartment. Very silent and comfortable place. Egidio was nice and friendly person. Thank you so much, we recommended this apartment!
Fantastic apartment in an unbeatable location. We really couldn't have found a better place to stay in Rome. We could walk everywhere from the apartment really easily and it was simply breathtaking to have the forum and colosseum so close by. Evenings were spent in nearby Trastevere where the bars and restaurants are amazing! All in all this is a fabulous base for a trip to Rome and Egidio and Annamaria are helpful lovely hosts.
Location, location, location. That's the story of this tiny little flat, tucked into a lovely old complex of what might have been tradesmen's shops, steps away from the Forum. Very clever use of space. It is, as one likes to say, small but perfectly formed. And very clean. Communication with Egidio and Annamaria is polite and friendly. They are pros. One thing to be prepared for: there isn't much light or a view: on the low-ceilinged ground floor level, a window opens right on to the narrow street, at street level and the two small windows in the loft/bedroom are up by the ceiling, far too high to see out of. Not set up to chill/hang out-- but ideal as an affordable, well located place to spend the night and have coffee and breakfast in the morning. Thank you to Egidio and Annamaria for being such good hosts!
We had trip in Rome (phone number hidden). Everything is fine! location near the Capitol. Meet and placed as promised. I recommend!
We highly recommend this lovely, albeit small apartment in a quiet, residential neighborhood that is amazingly close to some of Rome's most important sites. We are older travelers and had no difficulty walking just about everywhere: Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, for the traditional attractions, with the amazing neighborhoods of Trastevere and the Ghetto close by, too. To get to the Vatican or anywhere else by bus, you just walk 7 or 8 minutes to the main terminal at the beautiful Piazza Venezia. AnnaMaria & Egidio are charming and helpful, quick to respond to questions. Our only caveat is that this apartment is very small by American standards: Perfect for a couple or two adults and a child. Three adults would be cramped. And the bathroom shower is Lilliputian sized. Hot water and Internet are excellent, though! We loved Rome and we enjoyed coming home every evening to our own place. Grazie mille, A&E.
Location was excellent, close to Forum and Colosseo. Annamaria was a good host and made sure we had what we needed and provided some tips on the city. She also arranged for a driver to pick us up early in the morning and takes us to the airport.
Apartment was good, kitchen was a bit small but enough for our needs. There are a few restaurants meters away from the apartment but my favorite nearby spot was the small grocery shop on Via Dei Fienili which made great sandwiches with fresh ingredients on the spot.
Egidio and Annamaria's apartment was perfect! I would highly recommend staying here. It is close to Trastevere where you will find lots of great restaurants, extremely close to the colosseum and forum, a 10 minutes walk. Some of the other sites are a little further but we still managed to walk every where from the apartment.
The apartment itself was very clean and came with everything you needed including kitchen utensils. The area is very quiet considering you are in the centre and there some great cafes and restaurants around the corner for lazy dinners and early morning coffees. Egidio and Annamaria were extremely accommodating with check in and out and arranging transport for us to and from the airport. I can't recommend this apartment enough I would defiantly stay here again.
What a cute apartment! And on a perfect location. Almost everything on walking distance. My boyfriend and I loved staying at Egidio and Annamaria their place, it's clean and good taking care of. They recommended us a pizza place in Rome called 'La Focaccia' and that was probably the best pizza ever. Grazie Mille!
