Nice townhouse in a very desirable location between St-Denis and St-Laurent.

Only a 10 min walk from downtown. 3-4 minutes walk to metro Sherbrooke, Berri-UQAM and St-Laurent. 10 min walk from the central bus station. Express bus 747 from the airport stops nearby.

Bixi bicycles rental stand close by.

Simply the best location on the island, in the heart of Downtown/Plateau south, this unit is located corner of Montreal's famous rue Prince-Arthur street, an elegant pedestrian only street full of bring-your-own-wine restaurants from different parts of the world, with their outdoor terraces, umbrellas and live acts. Two blocks away is the hip street St-Laurent, famous for its nightlife, fast cars, outdoor street market and shopping. On the other side of the Square St-Louis Parc is Montreal's St-Denis street well known for its typical French Style shopping (a must for shopping) and outdoor bars.

  • As has been said before, the Sugar Shack is in a great location, within walking distance to everything. We met Jaclyn on the first day, and she was very friendly and helpful. We did not meet Francois but both were very responsive to emails.

Kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you might need should you want to cook some meals, which we did. The kettle was a little confusing but I got there eventually.... The deck out the back was nice for a morning coffee. In general a nice place to stay. Oh yes and the bath was amazing after a long day of walking.

  • Host was fantastic. This is a highly recommended place in an incredible location. Everything in Montreal is accessible. Jaclyne welcomed us, went out of her way to ensure our comfort, and remained reachable throughout our trip. As for the place itself, it's all you need and more. Clean and comfortable, with some great style from the hosts. Not too touristy either in the area.

  • The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the centrality of the location...within walking distance to a favourite montreal street where all the action is for shops, restaurants, etc. There were many condiments in the fridge so if one forgot ones own ingredients and if one is inclined to cook, which we did once, it was nice to know we did not have to go out to shop for salt and pepper and vinegar, etc.. It was a well equipped apt. The hosts gave us their parking spot which was really convenient.

  • The apartment was in a great location and had a nice open layout. The backyard was also a great feature. We enjoyed sitting out and enjoying the nice weather under the umbrella! The host was very responsive and friendly. Would recommend!

  • A wonderful home in a great city. The Sugar Shack has everything you need for a totally enjoyable stay in Montreal: unbeatable location, friendly and helpful hosts, lots of room and light, all the appliances you need, outdoor space, a designated parking space and--if you have kids--a playground right across the street. Like the guests before us, we were sad to leave and would absolutely choose the Sugar Shack again for our next trip to Montreal.

  • We had a wonderful time at the SugarShack. The location is ideal for exploring Montreal. Close to everything but nice and quiet at night. We met Jaclyne the first night and she couldn't have been nicer. Francois was always quick to respond to any questions I asked him via text message. All in all, my family had an awesome time and we recommend the SugarShack and the city of Montreal to everyone. My kids were so sad to leave.

  • We found the location to be ideal. We walked everywhere occasionally taking the metro back. A very comfortable nicely decorated 2 bedroom home. Friendly hosts gave us good advice on sights to see and where to eat.

  • Great location for touring the city without having to use your car. The only drawbacks were: street noises, from having to have the windows open in the summer and Friday Street Cleaning restrictions.

  • The hosts were very easy to work with and the location was perfect - right in the middle of and close to everything. A lovely home accurately described by the photos/listing.

Good for the under 35 crowd.

About
Hi, Jaclyne and I are working in the movie industry here in Montreal. We usually rent this apartment to foreign students because of it's central location and the proximity to Mc Gill University. But we are travelers ourselves and were warmly welcomed when we were abroad, so we felt the need to offer our local knowledge and perfect location to fellow travelers. We love to share and we pride ourselves with helping you experiencing this great city the local way!
