Feel free to ask questions as the owner is very accommodating and friendly.
Charm and luxury to this family house with character of the late 19th century, situated in the heart of beautiful Antigua between three beautiful volcanoes. Spacious terrace, spacious rooms, stone walls, and perfect location. A short block or two from shops (bakery, supermarket, grocery, post office, pharmacy ...) and the typical market every Tuesday and Saturday morning. The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower room and a large living room with kitchen and an extra lounge area.
If you would like to request the privacy of having the whole house, please let me know. If not I will plan on staying in my little room on the roof. Please note that the price will change slightly.

- Historic sites: The Cathedral in the Central Park is an amazing site, especially during mass. La Merced Church is a block or so away and is so incredible to see. The Coopericion de Espana is across the street from the home and is beautiful to walk through. The list goes on and on for places to see within walking distance to the home.
- Beaches: Monterrico is famous, but I highly recommend Hawaii, which is 15 minutes from Monterrico. Rio Dulce is beautiful but a 6 hour drive.
*** Please watch out for people that note they are close to Antigua. It is very difficult to get around here in Guatemala. Especially at night. Please be careful how you book your stay. Your life could depend on it. This home is in the heart of central Antigua. A very safe walk to anywhere in the city. No dangerous streets or alleyways. ***
Please have a great time!!!
Together with three friends I stayed in the house of Blake and Nidia, for 9 nights. And we had such a blast!
The house is perfectly located in the beautiful town of Antigua. It is beautifully decorated. We had our own made breakfasts at the sunny roof terras and the house is very quiet, so we had good nights sleep there.
We would highly recommend this lovely place!
We ( 2 women between 60&70 )
enjoyed our place of residence very much. The house, cituated very central, allowed us to reach all important things that tourists needs or want to see by foot.
We also enjoyed the ambience of the house with its patio and roof-terrace. The house is perfect for two single persons or two couples. The internetacces was good.
Blake is a good host. Whenever there was something to take care of, he reacted with despatch.
The only negative thing were arriving guests during the night of the hostal adjoined, they often made a great hullabaloo because the door was closed and there was nobody there to open it.
But on the whole it was really a very good decision to stay in Blakes house and we can faithfully recommend this place.
Blake's house is perfectly located near the center, yet provides a quiet haven in the middle of the action. Nidia greeted us when we arrived, and gave us an insider's list of local eats and activities. She was really friendly and helped make our visit more meaningful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Blake's place. The location was ideal and the view of the surrounding volcanoes from the rooftop patio was spectacular. The kitchen was decently equipped (not that we cooked: too many great restaurants nearby) and the living room was comfy. Bedrooms were small (typical for Antigua, I'd say), but adequate. It was nice having an extra half bath in the mornings (there were four of us). Blake helpfully arranged pickup from the airport, which was timely and professional. You'll enjoy your time at Blake's house!
We had a great time at Blake's! Even with 4 adults and a 2 year old we had enough space to feel comfortable. Great location, the fireplace was amazing, nice upstairs terrace. He may not mention it, but do check out his BBQ restaurant, our whole family was impressed with it! And for coffee check out the nearby Refuge coffee shop.
Hot hot water, the hottest water during our 10 day trip thru Central America. I was worried about getting there okay and you were waiting for us even though we were an hour late from crossing the border. Thank you very much...Loved the place. Great location. Safe. Clean. Quiet. Cute. Laundry next door. Coffee across the street. Strong wifi. Got our bus tickets for El Salvador also next door. Thanks Again!
