The room, played on black and white, is on two levels with wardrobe, chair, desk and library downstairs and a king size bed on the mezzanine.
My house is a modern, comfortable and quiet apartment with all facilities located on the ground floor of a historical building.
There are three private bedrooms, each with its own personality.
The common area consists of a bathroom (with whirlpool tub), a kitchen (with microwave oven), a dining area and a cozy lounge with television, fireplace, piano and sofas.
The wooden floor, the volumes created from the ceiling, the alternating colors on the walls and the large windows overlooking the garden make it warm and scenic, the perfect place to plan your day, check your email, read a book or have a chat over a cup of coffee. Then there are three private bedrooms, each with its own personality.
Actually all windows overlook a charming garden and only sounds can be heard are natural ones: it's like living in an oasis in the heart of Rome.
The breakfast (included) is plentiful, varied and special menus can be arranged for those who suffer from food allergies (celiac disease, lactose intolerance, etc..).
Bed linen and towels are included and guests have access to all facilities: broadband Wi-Fi connection, heating, washing machine, whirlpool tub, hairdryer. They may use the kitchen (equipped with a microwave oven) and they dispose of a corner with tea, coffee and biscuits available for a snack.
Smoke is admitted only in the common areas.
Check in time is flexible but must be agreed in advance. I like welcome my guests personally (it is rare for me asking someone else to do it) and chat with them at breakfast time, or when they come back home in the evening.
It is located in a quiet little square near the Sapienza University, the University Hospital (Policlinico) and the National Library Vittorio Emanuele, at walking distance from the university district of San Lorenzo (with a large selection of pizzerias, restaurants, ice cream parlors, fast food, pubs and clubs dedicated to cultural activities for all tastes) and Termini Station with laundries, shops and supermarkets open until late at night.
A few steps from home, there is a bus stop that allow you to get to the Termini station (310, 649) or to major tourist areas such as the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, St. Peter in Chains and the Monti district (649), the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, St. Peter and Vatican (492). A little further, there is the stop of underground line B (which can take you to the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus in minutes). At the same distance, at Termini station, you can find the Airport shuttle bus and trains (both for Ciampino and Fiumicino), the two Metro lines (A and B), the main bus lines.
I love cooking and I can give cooking classes to my guests who want to learn the traditional grandma's recipes (my grandma's, of course :-D)
Dora was our first experience with airbnb and it was amazing! Once we arrived she made us feel like home. The New Years eve at the roof terrace was unforgettable)) If you choose this place you will never regret, I promise!
We loved our stay at Dora's place. It's relatively close at walking distance to Termini, with a metro station even closer at 300m around the corner. Dora is a wonderful host, well informed about life in this great city, full of (website hidden), a very intelligent woman with whom we had many conversations. My son loved her inspiration with her cooking skills at breakfast. I surely keep this address in mind for any next stay.
Ps : parle extrêmement bien français en bonus ;-)
Dora and her house are super great! We really enjoy our stay with Dora. Already miss our talk and especially, Dora's homemade Italian Breakfast!
Dora was a great host during our stay there. She is really friendly and easy to approach. Make us feel really at home. I would totally recommend this place.
Our stay at Dora's place was fantastic. She was very kind, friendly and about all very helpful. And her breakfast, wow, awesome! i give thanks to Dora for this days.
For me a grate stay in Rome.
If i'll go back for few days to Rome i will go another time to her apartement.
Thank you Dora for your time and help:-)
Dora was a lovely host and helped us right from the start: from cooking breakfast (very delicious) over restaurant recommendations to other insider tips, she was very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.
The room had a good size, was clean and tidy (just like shown in the pictures). Also the bathroom was cleaned multiple times.
The location of Dora's home is good, you can reach termini in 5-10 minutes.
We can really recommend Dora as a host, if you have any problems or questions just ask her, she'll make sure everything's alright.
Thanks Dora for our good time in Rome!
Dora was a wonderful host and helped us have a fantastic visit in Rome. The room was lovely and the layout was unique with the bed above the main part of the room. The hilight was the generosity of Dora herself. She greeted us with gluten-free snack to accommodate my allergy, and woke up at 4am to help us get a taxi and explain to the driver where we needed to go. We would definitely stay with Dora again!
