Room was comfy and inviting. We had a great stay here. Booking process through Brett was seamless and accomodating. Eddie was absolutely amazing. The selection of teas and food on offer was endless and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!
Eddie was an awesome host, made me feel at home in every way possible, e.g. made sure my room was clean, made me breakfast the way i wanted. The flat description was accurate, location was perfect, plenty of great restaurants in the area, well connected to town away from tourists. If you need a home in Edinburgh, stay here! I'll definitely return if i have a chance. :) Thank you, dear Eddie!
Eddie was GREAT! Not only did she wait up for us due to a late arrival into Edinburgh, she was also super hospitable. She settled us in and ensured we had all we needed. We felt right at home and she made the most amazing breakfasts. Eddie provided us with invaluable local knowledge and made our stay perfect. We wanted to see the sights and also had tickets to the rugby - the apartment was perfectly located. We walked to Princes Street in 10 minutes, and arrived at Murrayfield Rugby Stadium in under 10 minutes. The bedroom and en suite ticked every box and we would definitely return. Eddie was warm and kind, friendly and warm - I would recommend her to everyone. FIVE stars *****
Our host was very friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The ensuite room and the apartment as a whole were very clean, homely and quiet and tea and coffee were made freely available. The bed was comfortable and easily accommodated two people. We were offered a good range of both Thai and English breakfast options but the opportunity to try a Thai breakfast was too good to miss and we were not disappointed. Our host was an excellent Thai cook, and also provided us with a wonderful Thai evening meal. The apartment is located within an area of residential apartment blocks and there is parking to the rear. It is within easy strolling distance of the City centre but if you don't want to walk, both Haymarket Station and the tram is less than 10 minutes walk. There are some very good restaurants on Dalry Road and Murrayfield is within easy walking distance. We've stayed in a number of hotels in Edinburgh before and this was by far a more interesting, personal and enjoyable experience.
Brett's mum Eddie was a fantastic host and really made us feel at home, cooking us a delicious hot breakfast each morning of our stay (we chose the thai breakfast, highly recommended!). The room is tastefully decorated and the bed is big and comfy.
The apartment itself is very well located - so close to the centre of the city that we chose to walk, though there are also bus and tram stops nearby.
Would definitely stay here again!
Brett's mum Eddie was the best hostess, she's really lovely, she made us feel really welcomed and provided with everything we needed. She asked us what we wanted for breakfats and gave us so many options. She made us the best and biggest breakfast: fruit salad, croissants and full scottish breakfast! She also advised us which buses to get and what things we could visit. We could come back late at night with no problem. The listing is accurate although we didn't see Brett as he was away but Eddie made our stay exceptional. The room and flat are really clean. It's a quiet neighbourhood 5 minutes walking from Haymarket station and there are busses outside the house that will take you to the city centre or it's a 10/15min walk to Prices st. I 'd definitely go back and I highly recommed it.
