  • My family spent wonderful vacation in Rome, of course Llaria's apartment was very nice:-).
The apartment was very cozy and had wonderful terrace as Llaria mentioned, I think The apartment is suitable two or three people, though we were four.
Location of this apartment was very good to many acctraction so i didn't need to use any tram, bus or metro except going to Vatican. It was also near to Passi that is the most parpular gelato shop in Rome. There were some supermarkets near the apartment and one of these was quite big. That's so useful as well.
Frankly speaking, I had been worried a little bit before staying the apartment because it was my first time to book and use this website but everything was very nice. Unfortunately I couldn't meet Llaria during styaing, however, her parents gave a welcome to my family and they were very kind.

  • Our experience with Ilaria and her apartment was just fantastic. She was responsive and communicative from the time of my first inquiry onward, and helpful throughout the stay even though we never had the pleasure to meet in person.

Since she was out of town, her father met us at the door. My Italian is pretty much limited to the few words that overlap with Spanish, but he was friendly, patient, accommodating, and spoke just enough English to explain how everything worked.

Full disclosure--I believe in walking wherever possible (you get a much better feel for the city from street level than from below, yes?). So in my opinion, the location is ideal. The Colosseum was walkable, supermarket and bars nearby, great reasonable restaurants that Ilaria recommended also reachable on foot. But if you're not up for that much walking, it's maybe 10-15 minutes walk from Roma Termini train station (with express service to Fiumicino airport), and maybe a little less than that to walk to the nearest metro station. Buses and trams were nearby but I never used them.

The apartment is situated on a quieter street among some other busy streets. It felt quite safe and seemed like a really nice little residential neighborhood. Noise was never an issue, although the water main broke across the street one evening, so the next morning we were drawn to one of the terraces where we got to watch an amusing but very spirited interaction between a grandma and the water workers down below.

The apartment is on the top floor and accessed by stairs. This is the only apartment in which I've stayed in Rome, so I have no basis for comparison but it seemed like a good size. It was bright and cheery, and lots of windows that could open in nice weather, not to mention the TWO great terraces, each with a spot to have breakfast, dinner, or a glass of wine. We'd been eating out for a week and enjoyed cooking at home one evening; the kitchen was stocked with the pots/pans/utensils we needed and worked just fine for our needs, but we did not see a microwave.

One of the other reviews mentioned water pressure, but there must have been extenuating circumstances that day because I can assure you this was not a problem at all. The bathroom was clean and everything worked just fine.

You can really tell Ilaria has put a lot of effort into this place, it is really cute and has great character. We would book it again without hesitation.

  • Ilaria was a wonderful host. She was helpful getting us checked in and settled. She gave us a few great restaurants in the loca neighborhood which we took advantage of... Her Rome apt was perfect for me and my wife and my daughter. It was a great location to in Rome to get around via Metro. Her apartment was a fair size and very clean. Thank you Ilaria and perhaps we will see you at our AirBnB home in San Francisco CA US!

  • We had nice three days in Rome. Nice, clean flat with nice teraces, which we could use more , if the evenings were warmer. But our breakfast we had there. Very nice - that here was good heating system, which we used in the evening , when it was colder. Ilaria was nice and friendly and advised a very good place to eat in close distance. As well as"minibar" in the flat and everything , what could be necessary for making meal. Metro station not far , but we prefer walking. Thank You Ilaria!

  • What an AMAZING space!!!! WOW! Truly a hidden gem in Rome. Terraces were superb. Very clean. Everything was perfect. IIaria was in LA, so her Dad greeted us. What a kind man. He helped us with our luggage and gave us an overview of the neighborhood. Really hospitable and friendly. Went out of his way to make us feel welcome. :-D Thanks again for your hospitality!

  • I can't say enough about Ilaria and her beautiful Rome apartment. We unfortunately did not get a chance to meet directly but her lovely father met with us and helped us get settled. Ilaria was so kind in all our communication that I felt disappointed we didn't get a chance to met such a lovely spirit. The flat really could not have been better: Beautifully decorated, very clean, outfitted with everything you could want or need, TWO amazing terraces with beautiful views, and walking distance to all the main sights. I have a hard time believing there's a better place to stay in Rome- very highly recommend!

  • You should update your wish list including this place. Adorable, beautiful, comfortable, delightful, elegant, fabulous.... I can name all kinds of positive adjectives to describe this house. It's a little just a little far from subway station but there are many restaurants, supetrmarket and bar & cafe. Ilaria, she is a wonerful and communicative hostess. Thanks to her!

  • Ilarias flat is very nice, clean and located perfect near the Colloseum and Termini. Although Ilarias father was there and not Ilaria herself, the contact with her was very good and uncomplicated. I can really recommend the flat.
