Dar Sofia is a traditional riad of 380 m2 in the medina of Essaouira by the ramparts with a direct 180 degree view of the ocean from every floor including a beautiful rooftop. A delicious breakfast is included every morning.
The space
This is a newly renovated family house with a home design featuring 6 bedrooms (12 guests) and 4 bathrooms.
Enjoy your stay in beautiful Essaouira in this traditional yet modern and comfortable souiri house. Recently renovated by a French decorator, this house has a beautiful luminous patio with lots of space for a group of family or friends.

2 of our rooms are significantly smaller than the other ones. They can accommodate 2 adults as the bed is a double bed, but please make a note if you are travelling with 12 adults.

And lastly, the roof terrace has a magnificent view of the sea and is furnished with outdoor sofas, a dining table where you'll be able to have grilled fish or healthy food in the sunlight and a small kitchen. The Riad is designed to be staffed with our cook (which will prepare breakfast and optional lunch and dinner) and cleaners, not so much for self-catering (although this is possible).
House staff (cook, housekeeper) is available for the duration of your stay and will accommodate any food restrictions. The price for a full-course lunch/dinner is 20e per adult, 15e per child. The cook is absolutely amazing and you will be able to enjoy delicious pastries and traditional Moroccan food throughout your stay. Vegans and vegetarians welcomed!

There is a strong tipping culture in Morocco and henceforth tips to Adil and Hasna are highly appreciated if you've been happy with the services provided :)
Since no cars are allowed within the medina, the housekeeper, Adil, will meet you at Bab Marrakech (one of the main entrances of the medina) next to the hotel Heure Bleue, to walk you to the house.
Transportation can also be arranged from the airport, Marrakech or Agadir.
Guest access
You will have, of course, access to the entire riad. The office room on the first floor is usually locked but you can definitely ask for access if you need to work during your stay.
