We had a great weekend at Juergen's place. The space was beautiful and well kept, the view from the porch was gorgeous, and Juergen was a fantastic host. He met us at 10pm to guide us to the house (very helpful on the winding road!), and gave us some great recommendations for hik…

His pictures represent this place perfectly. Best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Beds were better than a hotel’s. Everything was sparkling clean. Kitchen is fully stocked. We did open the windows for the night air. We loved that part at night to listen to the wildlife! He has a r…

Bee & Bee was a fabulous place to stay! It had stunning views with a great sunset off of the deck. The sun room was beautiful to hang out in as well. It was close to a few of Shenandoah National Park’s entrances, which was great. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for our one year anniversary with our daughter and brought along our small 4lb chihuahua. We made a mistake with the booking and did not realize the no pet policy. Juergen let us know there would be a fine, but said mistakes happen and understood. The fine turned o…

Response from Juergen:
Thank you for the feedback Brenden. It is true they brought a pet and after I confronted them about it they denied it and had to show them proof. The interesting thing is we always check in with the guest sometime after arrival or after their first night sleep. We did this with Brenden's family and their response was "Your place is awesome!" and "Thank you so much for the delicious bread!". Upon check out they sent us "We had a wonderful stay!" message. I fully understand that Brenden is bothered by the whole dog thing and not surprised by the review but this is disingenuous. Our no pet policy is in place for the comfort of our future guest. The living room thermostat is locked but we always adjust it for guest like we did for Brenden's family. Bedroom and Sun room thermostats are at the control of the guest. Not sure what extra cleaning Brenden is talking about. We ask that towels stay in the bathroom and that sheets be removed from any beds that were used. We also offer that we will take your trash for a small fee of $5. We offer this instead of the average $40 cleaning fee that others charge. Correct the property has cameras as stated on our listing. We are in a remote location and for the protection of our property and our guests we have cameras in the driveway and bee yard. These cameras are not in public locations and locations are listed on the listing. We always strive for a 6 out of 5 star review. From filling the fridge before you arrive to guiding families thru the country roads to homemade bread to stocked pantry with things like ground coffee and oatmeal to a little gift on guests beds. If you are looking for a cheap cabin we will be happy to recommend some places but strive to be the best cabin on the mountain and will learn from this experience to ensure no one feels sad that they choose Bee&Bee.

Bee & Bee Retreat is a really special to just get away from all of hubbub of city life and be in the woods. The road is steep as stated but navigable in good weather with two wheel drive. And of course leads to great views. You can't really hike directly from the house but …
